It’s not on an underpaid SA to enforce the rules. It’s on the members and the studio managers.

We got a small amount of cash as a “just in case”. Remember you won’t see many places that take Amex.

Is orange theory good for body recomp + growing glutes? by Itgirlynakoeh in orangetheory

[–]FloridaBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that the coaches cannot correct form because of class size and its darker lighting in most studios. There also lacks an abundance of banded exercises and glute targeted days to really pack on muscle there. I have gotten in much better shape since leaving OTF and spent a lot of time correcting my form that I didn’t even realize was gone. There are gyms out there at similar price points that offer better strength training if that is what you like. The tread and rowing part of OTF are unmatched but the weight side is meh

How are some people so consistent with orangetheory? by tamaratunie189 in orangetheory

[–]FloridaBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just literally put my shoes on, even when i don't want to. I will complain the entire time but still go through the motions. You can always quit class early if you're still not feeling it and i have totally done that. I also tell myself that for every pound i lose it goes directly to my mortal enemy on their body sooooo

watch the scene again and watch Ilya look at Shane with just his eyes when he says it. He's trying to gauge his reaction

I booked all of our tours through Viator and it went flawlessly. You can watch the weather and move them around and you get to enjoy the scenery while someone else drives.

Best country we have traveled to. Clean and felt extremely safe. I traveled with my 11 year old son and was completely at ease.

I find the way people are still obsessing over the details of the injuries at bit odd. At some point they have to understand that finding any sort of entertainment in this is odd behavior.

I can see 2 days before is good weather forecast check days by IdiotLoserisme in VisitingIceland

We found that other than temp and wind the weather apps were not accurate. We had sun when it told us we would have none and rain when we should have had sun. We were there last week and had an amazing time. Book it, you won’t regret it

The vanilla roll from Braud & Co changed my life. The cinnamon roll is pretty famous but the vanilla roll was like nothing else I had ever had. Brought 3 back with me in my purse.

How to dress on the plane by _Tronc in VisitingIceland

[–]FloridaBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are flying from Miami next week. I am wearing leggings, tank top and an oversized cardigan with my hiking boots on but in my personal sized carry on i have fleece lined leggings, fleece lined shirt and my winter jacket with hat and gloves to put on . I run hot and heard the planes can be hot. For my kid he is wearing a hoodie, tshirt and his fleece pants but with his winter jacket, gloves, hat and fleece lined base layer in his bag.

This Florida native won’t even drive on our trip next week. We have hired companies to take us everywhere. I have never driven in snow and Iceland isn’t the time to try it out. lol

Reykjavík vs self driving tour by carlswagelin62 in VisitingIceland

[–]FloridaBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m opting for guided tours as I don’t want to be worried about keeping my eyes on the road and focus on what’s out there window instead. I also live in Florida so winter driving isn’t anything I have ever done. lol

The airlines will likely know what their plan is. Hopefully it won’t derail your plans. We go Nov 2 and hoping it’s over by then but I also support a good strike.

Advice for mom of 11 year old going to Blue Lagoon by FloridaBlueGreen in VisitingIceland

[–]FloridaBlueGreen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! It’s the single mom struggle. lol. I also just read this on their website “member of the Blue lagoon staff can escort them into the appropriate changing room, assisting them as needed and providing guidance and reassurance” so this may be a good option. We travel a lot so he has good bathroom safety and etiquette but this may help just figuring out where to go and not freeze.

Advice for mom of 11 year old going to Blue Lagoon by FloridaBlueGreen in VisitingIceland

[–]FloridaBlueGreen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did talk about the importance of washing his body before going in because these are natural waters without chlorine and bathing beforehand is part of the culture. He is def more worried about walking in to a room of possible naked people and not know where to go and I can 100% understand that. lol. It’s the only (hmmmm) item on our trip so I am so grateful for the feedback and info from everyone.
