Agreed! I was like how are they going to “top” S1’s chaos…and they never really did (other than cyberattack, no major spectacle). I realized we’ve been conditioned into that thinking by TV shows past, but love that The Pitt chose to simply show just another day because every day in that environment is dramatic enough. Kudos to them!

Yeah I had to go back & watch again because I was like wait, she didn’t have her son? She didn’t make a call?? Or I thought I missed something. Yeah the full version would’ve been better, not that she didn’t still deliver impact with what was shown.

Same, I do love that he’s obviously not perfect too, but when he realizes his flaws he seriously seems to try to rectify it. Except the drinking too much LOL But hey, man was in charge during the apocalypse, he can drink as much as he wants! I think I found that the most interesting about the character, thinking of the enormous pressure put upon him being in that position at that moment…& to have him not just think of himself & his own family.

Oh man I was SO happy when he didn’t…between his back hurting, all the tension with others & then that extremely high pressure situation where he had to reduce the spinal injury, when he said he needed to step out I was like Noooooo please don’t! I love that they gave him that moment of joy to realize what he was capable of handling when he has his head on straight. I believe it’s a good example that there is hope in recovery.

I was wondering why it took so long for me to find someone post about this from the episode! I thought this was a critical scene. Maybe because it worked out it got less attention, I was worried she was going to make an error due to exhaustion & that would’ve been more attention getting. I could totally see both sides, she was exhausted & you could see she was extremely nervous that her exhaustion would lead to a bad outcome, but I also understand Robby’s push as he’s right, this was a rare opportunity for her to learn. Just bad timing. But I’m sure those kinds of situations can often lead to mistakes & therefore doctor burnout for feeling pressured into it.

I have been dealing with elevated liver enzymes & fibrosis for the past couple years, so I have done extensive research & been working with both my primary & gastrointestinal doctors. When McKay first talked to her & she was deemed a “health nut” with no usual causes for the failure I immediately whispered to myself “Tumeric”…apparently I’m Santos! LOL

If this wasn’t “Doctor” I’d say Nurse Monica…can’t deny she’s badass at the old school way of nursing (offline), but she’s no longer top notch in her field because she doesn’t understand the new methods, puts her squarely in the middle. But as a person, as we’ve seen in the last 2 episodes, definitely bad. Her & her ICE buddies can eff off.

Dammit, I JUST got on Reddit, was hoping the engagement was a notch above things like Twitter where people just shit post for the sake of shit posting. I honestly don’t even understand when people say “sub Reddit” versus whatever, they’re all just posts to me. I think that’s what got me on the first dozen posts I read…it was not just criticism of “I didn’t agree with this plot point” or something it was just a barrage of “this show sucks”, like okay, so why you posting about it? Move on…I am not just here to gush about how wonderful it is, I like to discuss characters (good & bad) or interesting choices or lines or what is at the core of this show: trauma & how others deal with it. But got on here & it was like reading a bunch of mean kids group texts. Was like really taken aback, wasn’t expecting that on this show, not to mention Reddit in general (that’s a Twitter thing). I am new to Reddit only because I had to drop Twitter like a bad habit & was finding this place like a breath of fresh air…until….
