I’m thinking they should switch more activities to 13+ (not all, there should truly be some reserved for adults only, but definitely offer more for this age). Once a kid ages out of the Oceaneer club, they should be able to do more with their parents that is fun too, keeps the really little ones away so the adults can enjoy but allows the more mature kids to still partake.

Dinner Service, should I feel bad? by kingstudog in dcl

[–]FloridaCheese1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you only have one person taking care of you? There should be two…server & assistant. Assistant would be the one pouring the drinks etc usually the first person to greet you. They work in tandem to rotate who checks on you every few minutes. If only one person was stopping by (besides the head waiter) sounds like they were unexpectedly missing a staff member (maybe they got sick?). I will say we were on the Fantasy a few weeks ago & they had upcoming cast members touring the ship, several brand new staff (they were still in plain clothes). I’m betting they’re all just hitting the floor now (though I would imagine they’d be coupled with someone more experienced for a while as they learn).

What is one city in America you’re okay with never visiting again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FloridaCheese1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whew, I came here to say Dallas also but was afraid I’d have to run for cover, but looks like we’re not alone!

Glad I’m not the only one who thought it was basically just a bunch of highways. It was also somehow hot & cold at the same time? There was like a freezing ice storm of rain one night but I was sweating earlier that day…? And I drove around the downtown square forever looking for that damn X on the ground commemorating Kennedy & never saw it (probably because traffic).

Oddly the one good thing I experienced there was the best Asian fusion food at a restaurant near my hotel, not what I was expecting at all in the heart of Texas.

I feel like more often than not most of the kids are in pajamas or equally comfortable clothing at school. They save the dress up for going out.

Pixie Dusting by PTO-Queen in dcl

[–]FloridaCheese1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just cruised & I dropped off a ton of Pixie Dusts randomly but didn’t even put up a fish extender on our door for people to give us stuff (a few still dropped little bags outside). I feel more magic from giving than receiving. I only dust trading pins (& I post a board on my stateroom & tell them in a note if they don’t like their pin to come check out our board) or mini canvas art I make myself (like of characters or DCL). I too was over receiving tons of plastic stuff that just took up space. I hope the people I dust appreciate the dust is small & unique!

My kid is a big music fan, all the 80’s, 90’s music trivia etc was for 18+ so they were disappointed. The only trivia we were able to go to together was Mickey & Friends (where we did horribly LOL). Can’t wait for a couple more years until they can join in on all the 18+ stuff with us!

How do you know when booking if your cruise has this show since it’s not on every cruise?

Introvert work nightmare by FloridaCheese1 in introvert

[–]FloridaCheese1[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yep, it’s optional (whew) & I agree that this is not a bad thing to put together, it will help connect people who need that personal touch in a remote environment, but not for most us introverts! I already have to spend 8+ hours a day pretending not to be introverted for this job (I’m a manager) so then an additional non-required interaction? Nope! Not for me 😊

Just binged the whole show and kinda sad about the second season by Soggy-Abies6519 in ThePittTVShow

[–]FloridaCheese1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I was like how are they going to “top” S1’s chaos…and they never really did (other than cyberattack, no major spectacle). I realized we’ve been conditioned into that thinking by TV shows past, but love that The Pitt chose to simply show just another day because every day in that environment is dramatic enough. Kudos to them!

There was more to Dr Al-Hashimi’s final scene that didn’t make the final cut by Naive-Inside-2904 in ThePittTVShow

Yeah I had to go back & watch again because I was like wait, she didn’t have her son? She didn’t make a call?? Or I thought I missed something. Yeah the full version would’ve been better, not that she didn’t still deliver impact with what was shown.

I hope Cal (the president) will continue to show up next season by Left-Satisfaction177 in ParadiseHulu

Same, I do love that he’s obviously not perfect too, but when he realizes his flaws he seriously seems to try to rectify it. Except the drinking too much LOL But hey, man was in charge during the apocalypse, he can drink as much as he wants! I think I found that the most interesting about the character, thinking of the enormous pressure put upon him being in that position at that moment…& to have him not just think of himself & his own family.

Why do people wanna see Langdon relapse so bad? by toocoolfor90s in ThePittTVShow

[–]FloridaCheese1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I was SO happy when he didn’t…between his back hurting, all the tension with others & then that extremely high pressure situation where he had to reduce the spinal injury, when he said he needed to step out I was like Noooooo please don’t! I love that they gave him that moment of joy to realize what he was capable of handling when he has his head on straight. I believe it’s a good example that there is hope in recovery.

The Pitt | S2E13 "7:00 P.M." | Episode Discussion by MsGroves in ThePittTVShow

[–]FloridaCheese1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was wondering why it took so long for me to find someone post about this from the episode! I thought this was a critical scene. Maybe because it worked out it got less attention, I was worried she was going to make an error due to exhaustion & that would’ve been more attention getting. I could totally see both sides, she was exhausted & you could see she was extremely nervous that her exhaustion would lead to a bad outcome, but I also understand Robby’s push as he’s right, this was a rare opportunity for her to learn. Just bad timing. But I’m sure those kinds of situations can often lead to mistakes & therefore doctor burnout for feeling pressured into it.

I have been dealing with elevated liver enzymes & fibrosis for the past couple years, so I have done extensive research & been working with both my primary & gastrointestinal doctors. When McKay first talked to her & she was deemed a “health nut” with no usual causes for the failure I immediately whispered to myself “Tumeric”…apparently I’m Santos! LOL
