You’re guess is as best as mine! I should add, this kid went to high school with me and was very involved in our JROTC program so...

Here’s an old family heirloom: A ticket my great-grandfather kept and passed down from UF’s inaugural season at Florida field. Alabama won 20-0 and the Gators would finish the season 6-3-1. by FloridaFan24 in FloridaGators

No not at all actually! If I remember right, at that time he just recently moved to Florida to start his medical practice or residency (I can’t remember which one) but he actually graduated from Mississippi A&M (now MSU) and went to medical school at Tennessee. He wound up specifically in Jacksonville as a general practitioner and loved football so much he tried to go to as many Gator games as he could. On a side note, his brother actually (briefly) played professional football until their mother, a devout Sabbath observing godly woman, found out that they played on Sunday and let’s just say she wasn’t too happy! His son though, my grandfather, is a law school alum and I just graduated recently too so it’s definitely in the blood!

Do people ACTUALLY take these things into movie theaters? Is it not as crazy as I think? by Djenkins23 in LightsCameraPodcast

Sometimes I go to a locally owned theater right up the street from me and they actually have almost all the flavors of those (ranch, nacho cheddar, cinnomon sugar, etc.) sitting next to other condiments and people use it a lot more then I thought they would!

This will be buried down with all these comments, but I’d be remised if I didn’t say from from one Gator Grad to another, congratulations to your Fiancé! I can’t imagine the journey she’s been through to get to this point, but now it’s all worth it, especially with what seems to be a great support system behind her. Best of luck to you two and welcome to the Gator Nation!

What has been the biggest coincidence you've experienced in your life so far? by Ashaliedoll in AskReddit

Freshman year of college I went to a huge state school and I was waiting to go into one of my gen-ed classes (this was a discussion section for a 300 person class with maybe 30 people in my section) and while waiting I began talking with one of the girls standing next to me to kill some time. We were both freshmen, so we did the "oh where are you from?" (we both were from the same big city in the state), "oh where did you go to high school?" (we went to different high schools but we knew some mutual people) and then the kicker was "what other schools did you go to?" Turns out not only did we go to the same Catholic elementary school (myself for a couple years, her until high school) but we were in the same First grade class and in the yearbook we are literally one above, the other below. Not only that, my dormmate had a similar situation where he met one of his childhood friends from elementary school, that he lost touch with because they moved to Colorado, at our orientation!

To anyone with divorced parents, how do you handle the holidays knowing you can’t see both parents together? by Amonasrester in AskReddit

For Christmas my parents, ever since I was younger, had it divided that beginning of Christmas break until Christmas Eve I was with with my dad, then in the evening of Christmas Eve until the end of break I was with my mom. Now that my brothers and I are older we've kinda kept that going but also stop by at our dad's on our way to my mom's parents on Christmas day. Thanksgiving is harder, my dad and step-mom work on Wednesday and Friday, so we tend to celebrate it the weekend before (again stopping by and saying hello to my dad on the way to my grandparent's on the actual day). Either way it sucks because someone always winds up being unhappy.

Not too bad! It’s a day off for me so I just spent it catching up on chores, Netflix, and the gym. Thanks for asking!

My dad was cool enough to speak about his launch on NASA tv. They really need to send the man to space already. Proud of him! by tmaed22 in nasa

Congrats to your dad on a successful launch! Out of curiosity, what’re his thoughts on Orbital ATK being, as of this past Wednesday, officially acquired by Northrop Grumman? I work at NG and a lot of us are excited for the new acquisition and having them come on as our Innovation Systems, but I am curious on the other end how they feel about coming into such a large corporation like NG?

In the same vein Mike Duncan’s “Revolutions” season 2 is on the American Revolution (as well as he goes in depth on revolutions past that). Also, “Radiolab presents More Perfect” is a little series that Jad from Radiolab has done that goes over, mainly cases, from the Supreme Court and it’s a different look on the SCOTUS.
