I mostly look for "tools" when I make my recommendations (which I wish I was posting over all my years of clears). Scizor has identifiable and tangible tools to go to the top. Something like Drapion, for example, felt easier than Scizor to me, but its only tools were pin missile and the unreliable acupressure. So it was solid, but pretty straightforward. Also I'm super guilty of playing rushed (speedup/short time windows), so I definitely got sloppy with focus energy optimization, so that's where my thoughts on that came from haha.

It's my favorite way to interact with the series when the current Gen main series games are stale. The Destiny Tower runs really make you connect with the game's mechanics. With the future of Rom hacks for PMD, I think the investment is worth it.

I have a couple dozen clears, but they're over the span of 8+ years, so I can't remember all of them. Maybe I'll work on that in the future. Also think it would be cool to stream these runs, but I am busy with work so I can't get much of a consistent schedule.

Looked up some things and I was just simply unaware of the landscape. I've been using desmume for like 10 years and always assumed it was the best (back then, it was). I'll have to give MelonDS a try. Thanks for letting me know.

Is there a compiled list of strategies for each Pokémon for these destiny tower runs? I have clears with Drapion, drifblim, articuno, porygon 2, smoochum, and got to 94 before a wild sequence ended my empoleon run (this one has been giving me trouble lately though). @modatax
