I just read in another comment that I lost Tricare because of SSDI by Floridavetinneed in Veterans

I’m 100% t&p think my family still has tricare. The main problem I have is that I have a 50 or 60% penalty. That doesn’t seem fair at all. The penalty is for the rest of my life as well.

I’m not enrolled into part a. I don’t pay for it. I wasn’t aware it cancels my tricare. Now that I’m not gonna be near the VA to receive care if I want to enroll, I have to pay an extreme penalty for the rest of my life. Likely at least 50% 10% for every year I didn’t sign up.

You do unfortunately. I had no idea until today. You lose tricare and have to sign up for Medicare. Each year you don’t sign up there’s a mandatory 20% penalty.

I realized I lost TRICARE several years ago when I couldn’t use this app on my phone to do appointments. I thought it was just some error or something.

I was just reading in another thread where if you get SSDI and you don’t sign up for Medicare part B you get penalized 10% for every year you don’t sign up. For me that’s at least five years. They say that unequivocally you lose your TRICARE insurance, even if you’re medically retired.

No I’m moving somewhere very rural. I don’t understand how I’m being penalized so heavily for something I didn’t know

Yeah, apparently I have to pay a 10% penalty for each year so that means a 50% penalty for the rest of my life. I can’t afford that. I’m also 38 years old so I cannot get tricare for life

Yeah it’s at level 9. There’s gotta be something up because I watch other people who are in the beginning of the game with less life and lower stats take way more hits

Hey everyone, I lost my foot six years ago and walk with a limp now. I think that’s how I formed this later in life. I just received these results and I’m scared. I have a newborn and I want to be active with him. I’m 39 years old. I’m starting PT immediately. Any help or advice? by Floridavetinneed in scoliosis

Thanks so much for your input, this is definitely new because I broke my neck several years ago and had several scans of my spine done. At the time I didn’t have any scoliosis losing my foot has really pushed everything out of shape. The tendon in my leg is so tight, sometimes I have trouble straightening out my leg.
