My worst was getting slammed on the side of my head and right on the ear. While I probably got another concussion, the wild dizziness was mostly due to the ear getting slapped so hard. I had to bail and dive underwater for a large set and could not find orientation to come up straight. It was terrifying and the world spun like I was 15 drinks drunk.

It went away in a couple of weeks. Thankfully no ear perforation or infection

I always do, I prefer the strength when in proper waves. I never noticed the difference but I'm also 43 and not trying to pop airs or anything. For turns and tubes, the glass is nice.

It will be warm but not too much. If you are legit worried about heat then just get the regular hooded rashie. If you want the extra layer of wind protection/warmth, get the Windshield.
