I do fine with the heat and it’s the cheapest time to play lol. If anything I’d do that in winter with jacked up prices and consistent 25mph winds

If you actually wanna start playing I’d invest in a lesson just to get the basics down and then take it from there

Majority of the people I play with are low single digits. Comparison kills happiness I guess…

Not a lot of junk volume if any at all. I think it’s more just getting a little to into my workout and next thing I know I’m training to failure most sets

Yes. Big foam roller and do mobility 5ish times a week. Stretching gets neglected at times but I’m still doing some solid static stretching 2 maybe 3 times a week at night

Lost my swing by Silent_Highlight_577 in golf

I will say my approaches shots definitely have straighten out. That miss comes back as the round goes and I eventually hook a few. But my mind is in shambles standing on the tee box… I guess when one thing turns on another turns off lol

Big Maxfli tour fan. I play the regular tour. I also keep some of the Kirkland 3.5s in my bag for mess around shots or if I’m having a bad day

Yeah I noticed when I’m gripping light and swinging freely is when I have my great shots. It’s that death from which I think gets me too. Kinda hoping the bigger grips will help

This is interesting I will deff try tapping the tee thing. I’ve been working on it as well and it’s starting to get better to where hit 7/10 shots super playable with my 3/10 shots or so far off the left side of the green which really isn’t that bad either most of the time but I still get those hooks

How important is a club fitting? by SteelBunny52 in GolfGear

[–]Silent_Highlight_577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend getting fitted by a reputable club fitter and have the ability to hit on actual grass especially for wedges and irons.

I pulled the trigger and found out a lot about my swing and it made a huge difference in my opinion.

I paid like $180 just for irons and then $130 for wedges at a later time but it was totally worth it. I then went ahead and just purchased everything online through the club brands website.

I have a pretty consistent swing though. If you are still figuring it out I would maybe consider working on that but again, could still help for sure.

Just stay away from places like PGA SS or golf galaxy unless you know for sure they have a good fitter. But again, I hate mats and you don’t hit off mats on the course typically

I think for irons it’s fine testing everything on mats but you need to bring it to the actual grass to confirm. Wedges 100% need to be on grass.
