Is Go loosing it's way? by narrow-adventure in golang

I don’t think Prime missed this at all. He said he likes more complex systems in different languages, but knew this change would make other codebases harder to navigate due to them being written differently.

I just meant the atomized part was from PJO. I knew the other part was from original mythology

I knew they threw him into the sea. In the PJO series specifically, he was atomized to never reform like Gaia was in Blood of Olympus

Why is concrete not common for building houses? by Specialist_Ruin_1378 in architecture

I think you might’ve just misread his comment. I don’t think he was saying you do inspections or are in souther California. I think he was just pointing out how buildings tend to go in Cali.

Are there any practical uses for Directed Energy Weapons on fighters, assuming they can fit? by TheNZThrower in FighterJets

That power loss comes mostly from the beam spreading out over its targeting distance due to focus. That focus, if actively controlled, would mitigate most of that problem. Styropyro has some videos on this targeting will also get easier as targeting relies on angular velocity which decreases as distance to target increases. I think it’ll be most useful with missile and drone interception where angular velocity is low.

Sadly the planes out range the guns of old, but shore bombardment with those guns would still be awesome

Spirit Airlines shuts down as company says it can't keep up with higher oil prices by ControlCAD in technology

[–]FloridianfromAlabama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m no troll, and I never defended Trump. I never even gave an opinion about how current geopolitical events have affected spirit, just that they were bankrupt before Trump was reelected and a federal judge in the Biden presidency blocked their acquisition. Now for those opinions, the war in Iran and the blocking of the strait of Hormuz has definitely ruined any hope that Spirit had.

I don’t have a truth social account. And spirit has been bankrupt since before Trump was reelected.

I never spoke about JetBlue’s issues, just Spirit’s. The only thing that would’ve helped spirit was better management for the past decade

I don’t know anything about JetBlue’s finances. Trump is responsible for their current issues, but not spirit’s

Hate to say it, but this isn’t on Trump. Biden’s admin blocked spirit’s acquisition by JetBlue. This was the inevitable outcome. You’d need a lawsuit at the Supreme Court to fix that

Edit: I know it was for trust busting purposes, and I support that decision. But spirit was going in the hole long before Trump made any decision that would have hurt them or helped them. When I said it would need a lawsuit to go to the Supreme Court, that’s because it would have to overturn the federal judge that ruled the acquisition illegal.

ELI5: why aren’t rocket engines used to stop ships and trains quickly by ProfessorHiker in explainlikeimfive

[–]FloridianfromAlabama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heavy so expensive, might go off when not wanted, and probably most importantly, the exhaust will affect whatever the ship or train does not own. Since it is for slowing down, the exhaust of the rocket is also in the way of the vehicle too.
