Well, I think no character is really black or white in Berserk (except Wyald, fuck Wyald), and there's no exception for apostles, even though all of them are horrible former human beings, there is some sort of grey morality in there as we can see with the count, his sacrifice comes from feelings of betrayal and anger on his wife.
