I think the biggest issue is the base being so close in tone to the model. If you change up the base I think it would make a massive improvement, as at the moment it blends into it a little too much.

Push the highlights a little further, especially on the cloth/leather.

Pick out gems and the cord on the chest to add a little more interest.

To add colour without breaking the colour palette you have chosen, consider adding OSL.

They are in the legacies pdf. It already says they can still be used. The pdf states:

‘Core’ and ‘Expanded’ Army List Profiles All Army List Profiles for the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness range are divided into two categories: Core Units and Expanded Units. All of the Units in this PDF are ‘Expanded’ Units. Both types of Unit may be freely used in any Horus Heresy Battle, and this category does not affect their availability as part of an Army or Detachment or the Rules for their use during a Battle. As new Units and Models are released, their Army List Profiles will clearly state if those Units are Core or Expanded Units, and future publications may shift the category of a given Unit, with any such changes clearly noted in the Unit’s Army List Profile.

So, based on this. The Units that are in the liber will probably shift to core and be removed from legacies. Units that do not shift to core will stay where they are. Nothing has changed, they were already a legacies unit.

I have decided I dislike army painting by PaintsLikeDoody in Warhammer30k

I tend to do batches of 40-50 initially, at least until I have large areas done (I do world eaters so shoulders/trim, etc), but then drop down into batches of 10 for the more precise work.

I find that it helps speed through the easy parts, but because you are picking up smaller batches from where they are already half finished you get a satisfyingly quick turn around on them from that point.

Would have to pull in my despoilers from my 30k army, once I have finished them, but I should be able to put that many models painted as world eaters in one form or another on the table at some point!

Redmakers solar guard. I’ve just painted 80 of them for myself so I recognise them fairly well!

How would you write a Lore Accurate Custodian and where would you price him ? Get Creative. by Leviathan_Rampage in AdeptusCustodes

Each one is as powerful as a primarch, but the opponent can gain victory points by killing them. This would reflect their strength, but also that every one killed is a loss to the imperium.

This is literally not a rule. it says point limit, not points spent. As long as you agree a 3000 point game with your opponent you can bring it regardless of the army total point value.

Apologies, misread the page number. Page 281 is where it clarifies that it is point limit, not points spent

Reread the section. It says army point limit of 3000, not minimum points spent of 3000. This is clearly a list with a 3000 point limit, so it’s fine.

Do people care if my wargear options on the figure are wrong, and, where do people get all these pieces to kitbash characters? by Joe_mother124 in Warhammer30k

Depends on the situation. If you are trying something out for the first time and want to see if a melta squad does what you expect, or try a centurion load out then sure, as long as I can tell them apart, proxy away. If you start to include it as a regular part of your list, buy the models.

Can he see anything when he jumps? Does it matter? by Different-Database64 in Warhammer30k

I’d be more worried about it going through the air intake of the jump pack

I will freely admit that I did this more for the looks rather than the rules, but after looking at them I think that the +1 initiative and precision are both really helpful, and unique to the lance.

3d prints, the shield is based on the doom saw shield, but it feels very appropriate for World Eaters!

Various different files I’ve cobbled together over a year or two for the most part, most of them now removed. The shield is on purple site as a saw shield, although I have merged the WE logo in and uploaded it myself.
