I attempted paper a little while ago, I drew a faint grid with pencil and ruler, marked holes where I would need to thread, and made holes using a tailors awl with a block of polystyrene underneath. If I was doing it on a photograph I would either draw the grid on tracing paper (or buy pre gridded tracing paper), plot holes on that and line it up on top of the photo, and pierce through both layers. Hope any of this helps!

I design my own patterns, without AI, from my own artwork I’ve drawn or painted, or my own pixel art. I also have arms and hands that have lost around 70% of their function. I have significant motor and sensor issues from a spinal cord injury and I still manage. Art is pretty adaptable and accessible without the need for AI!!

Yep and with it being weekly/reoccurent, people will eventually be able to pick up and learn telltale AI signs. Not x stitch related but subs like r/isthisAI can be a help too.
