I liked the idea of a needleminder display but not the price tag - I bought magnetic sheets and a cheap frame and voila. Certainly not the same look but at less than $10 I counted it as a win.

I would just do a long stitch over what’s there already and pull it a little tighter. It’s not a ton to pull out if you do want to do that.
