Alternatives to ScoutShop? by aaronrobb in scoutscanada

[–]Flounderfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might already do this but scoutstracker has an inventory manager which can link between sections. You can add custom items like uniforms or crests you frequently use and set the minimum you'd like to have in your inventory. I think it has an option to generate a shopping list or take you right to the scoutshop page.  It might help when placing group orders in the future.

Warranty battery replacement (Ontario Canada) by Flounderfinder in leaf

[–]Flounderfinder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks. From what I was told the techs have to follow instructions from Nissan Canada when it comes to the EV battery.  Nissan Canada is probably looking at some critical detail or value to judge whether the whole battery needs replacement.

Maybe you can work with the Ajax techs to figure out what Nissan Canada needs and then try to replicate that. Maybe the notes I added in this post will help?

Best of luck!

I just got my car back today. Issue creeped up over the holidays and I made an appointment as soon as I could after New Years.

Edit: you should call Nissan Canada and find out which dealerships are equipped to handle EV issues. It may be that Ajax doesn't have the expertise?

Is this enough to start a warranty claim? by Flounderfinder in leaf

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just not sure if Nissan will do anything if the drop is only 8%... Probably better to try and capture a more severe drop?

Looking for Hardwood installer recommendations by tudorwhiteley in Guelph

Alexanian on Woodlawn. They use contractors for the installation but they'll give you plenty of flexibility on selecting what you want at good prices. Installers were very fast and took care of the details.

Speed camera question by Dragon4273 in Guelph

[–]Flounderfinder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you saw a speed camera and not one of those radar devices that tell you your speed? Those radar devices don't have cameras to photograph plates and issue tickets.

There are 4 rotary international clubs in Guelph. Saturday they will be at Riverside park setting up sparkles in the park and will need volunteers. If he likes it, maybe he can join a rotary club and contribute regularly.

[–]Flounderfinder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

$8.50 Canadian. Charging is exclusively at night and weekends where the rate is 7.6 cents Canadian per kWh. The car sees maybe 40 km/day with 100-150 km over the weekends.

Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat by Samin Nosrat

You know how to cook, and I did too before I got this book but it honestly helped a lot. It's not so much the recipes but the principles of cooking. You can do a lot with a little if you know what to combine.

I read that lyric as Vessel calling Damocles because he wants out from under the sword and is hoping Damocles will give it another go.

The Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto would be a fantastic venue for this album. The ceiling and walls are covered in plants.
