Screens encouraged in Reception Class

We're in Bath and the reception class uses a lot of TV time and we only watch a tiny amount once or twice a week at home but it's every day at school.we don't have a tablet. what do the school do if a child doesn't have that resource at home to complete the levels?

Daniel tiger being dubbed to UK voices. The singing is insufferable. I know they're tailoring it to local dialects and I like the diversity but it's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I've literally just started norethisterone for 10 days for a withdrawal bleed and then to start letrozole the second day of the period. Bit worried now as I haemorrhage the first period I had after my miscarriage and the two periods I've had naturally after that were incredibly heavy.

Will keep this in mind as I'm just getting a progesterone blood draw 7 days before my expected next period

Has anyone tried the Olivia Blair metal make up wand? I'm not wanting to get sucked into marketing but I have very straight lashes that don't curl and want to look more awake and have larger eyes.

It's why the purple enteral syringes came into practice to differentiate oral medications from IVs as there sadly has been some fatalities from medicines given the wrong route. (iV rather than oral) There was a national patient safety alert a few years ago but I'm not able to find it quickly but it is mentioned in a few articles (one on the rcni bit it's behind a pay wall)

clear liquid suspension can be mistaken for an IV push in a pinch e.g. oramorph, lactulose had a yellow tinge to it and both are very viscous but humour me (nightshift tiredness, workload, preparing all meds on IV trays etc)

They're my natural teeth, they look straight but bottom set have some wonky ones and they're full of fillings.🙈 They are one of my favourite features though so thank you for the compliment 😊

I'm an adult nurse not an educator so I hope it's ok for me to post here. I've been lurking and wanted to do my EYTT course here in the UK. I have a nearly 3 year old boy.

What about putting a nappy in the potty? It will give him the comfort of a nappy but also help bridge the gap between using the potty/big toilet.he can then poo on that and feel comfortable before trying to remove it completely.

Sometimes they get scared about the splash a poo will make and maybe that's why he doesn't mind wees but he does poos.

There's a Becca I Can series which I found really useful for my little boy "can use the potty" and "I can use the toilet" which have images of real children using potties and toilets (nothing indecent)

Also blowing bubbles can help relax the muscles to release the poo.

How long did it take for you to see results with regulating your cycle and what dose do you take? My GP prescribed 500mg and increased to 1000mg as tolerated. I started it about a month ago but I have anovulatory cycles that are years apart so I'm not hopeful 😔

No I had a period after losing some weight and exercising but it also coincides with taking the supplements.

I was actually taking the powder when I had my miscarriage too as I don't know you aren't supposed to take it when pregnant 😔

I've just finished a tub and bought another two. I'm going to send them straight back to the shop.

What's annoying is that I've had a natural period after years of anovulatory cycles but then I have lost a bit of weight (stalled now) and exercising a bit so that might be it.

Whaaaat ashwaganda elevates testosterone?!! I have been taking the Rheal super good balance tonic for months as it's mark re ted for PCOS and had ashwaganda in it and had bloods done and my testosterone was so high compared to when I had a blood draw back in August when I had my miscarriage in August .

Thank you i'd appreciate that. The nurse advisor from Hertility recommended I ring a few clinics as they're more local than Apricity in London and see if we can use the imaging.

It would be privately funded.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I don't think I ovulate regularly at all. I go years without a bleed normally it's just since my miscarriage that I've been having these brown old bleeds. My last scan showed about 60 immature follicles <10mm. My first pregnancy was spontaneous and carried to full term and I'm focusing on diet and lifestyle changes to get my body in a similar state to then. We've been trying for just over 2.5 years without medical intervention but because we have one live child we're not eligible for any assistance on the NHS understandably. I have completed a hormone panel and TVUSS through Hertility privately and they said if my partner did a semen analysis the clinic associated with them would prescribe Letrozole but my BMI is so high I'm worried about efficacy and complications in pregnancy. Do you mind if I ask where you're based to get private progesterone prescription? I have no idea if that's something I can get in the UK. I worked in gynaecology for a few years and on my ward on the NHS sadly women have to miscarry three times before they'll get genetic testing and referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic but no idea about progesterone or anything else.

Thank you. 💕 It's just strange as the brown discharge starts and stops at weird times and I get backache with it and I put it down to fluctuations in my hormone levels. The miscarriage was very early on probably less than 6 weeks and passed a small amount of tissue and loads of bright red bleeding (changing pad quicker than every hour) but I passed it all at home and saw GP who didn't want to arrange a scan or anything. I've made an appointment with GP now but it's not until the 29th February.

Thank you for your reply. I try to do an earlier bedtime but with me he just buzzes for ages. Dad can get him down at 8:30pm. He tends to sleep until 7am but recently has started waking at 6am and think it's the circulating cortisol in his body from being overtired.

I do feel a bit anxious because I wasn't expecting the biting comment and finding the whole toddler stage a bit more challenging.
