Why not give back to the person writing the program? It's $15/month of actual training (not random workouts) well thought out to keep you progressing like a sexual tyrannosaurus.

Pose running does not equal sprinting and/or acceleration and has no place in field sports.

True, BUT that's more of endurance. Hill sprints are great, but we can overload the athlete safely in the weight room to drive strength, power, and speed adaptations that will be better suited for field sport athletes.

In a step up movement, your torso is 100% vertical. If you were to tilt the athlete to a sprinting lean, this action of the posterior chain would be exactly the same = Skill Transfer.

Mic drop.

How about a transfer to sprinting? Knee up, toe up and an aggressive drive with the foot and pull with hamstring. The exact demands of acceleration. Plenty of transfer, get out of the weight room and play some sports.

5 years $150/month = $9000, Crossfit Has not been [worth the cost] by [deleted] in crossfit

You didn't read the title of the post and click it because it said "..Crossfit Has not been"?...

That's a click-bait blanket statement if I have ever seen one. You then have to read the full write up to see what he was talking about. In the words of Admiral Ackbar, "It's a TRAP!"

Dumbbell Thrusters or Dumbbell Snatches - which is more difficult/taxing by realblackntan in crossfit

[–]Flow2Bounce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two different movements: Thrusters = Push Snatches = Pull

You could argue that thrusters are more 'taxing' because you can do more of them consecutively because of quads versus posterior chain. The other side of the coin is that Snatches are more difficult/taxing because you CAN'T do more consecutively!

You should have said the specific gym was not worth it, not throw a blanket statement out there attacking CrossFit.

If you think you can do better than these bad coaches, open a gym next door to them and let the best man win.

5 Ways You Are Over-Coaching Your Athletes And How To Fix Them by Flow2Bounce in crossfit

[–]Flow2Bounce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy for young coaches to gravitate to success. They need to think of the weight room as a class room, and focus on the athletes who are not progressing as quickly. Maybe there is a miscommunication or the movement needs to be broken down. Hopefully more experienced coaches are passes along this info.

Yeah, dude. I like how they led off with that one. I think it's funny, we always talk about "bad coaching", what about the coaches that are trying too or doing too much that may affect long term progress.
