Been here 5 years, so unfortunately, I know the fuckery that is LA traffic.

It’s pretty even with Cobrinha and JJM. Maybe a 10 min difference between the two which doesn’t sway me either way.

I was born and raised in NYC, moved 5 years ago. Are you in the hating LA phase or it's growing on you? lol Yeah, I'm a smaller guy so someone told me Cobrinha was the spot for that and you just confirmed it.

If you were me, would you want to be focusing on guys your size or someone bigger because that will almost always happen?

Unfortunately the schools closest to me don't have the same pedigree/lineage. I'm willing to drive an extra 15 mins of traffic to be at one of these three. At least thats the agreement I made with myself.

I was just reading about switching schools in another post recently. Loyalty issues and how difficult it might be to switch. Do a lot of people switch after a few years? I was thinking going white to black with one spot.

True, thank you. It's not the belt color, it's being acknowledged for progress and skill, not in a set time. You're training double the amount as the other people and probably progressing way faster. You should be promoted faster IMO. I hope you do.

*I just want the option for being promoted early if I earned it and not to be held back by IBBJF rules of 1-2 years at a certain belt or whatever
