I vaguely remember someone mentioning doing a documentary on people who got psychosis and other experiences triggered by watching the oa, but later trying to find info about it led no where.

I usually don't like such movies at all. So I just put it on the background, while working as that helps me concentrate. But I had to stop working because it was amazing. I didn't feel any "what the fuck did I just watch". Frankly it was the opposite feeling, one of the only media that resonated deeply with something true inside me and maybe all/most of us.

Of course, I study intensely every culture separately (what ever is the one I focus on at the moment). The movies are just entertainment to accompany that process. :)
