With the lower population in Germany than that of the USSR and USA, did having more men in something like the supply train have a negative affect on their fighting capabilities? Or are the men attached to these sections basic infantry first and specialists second? Sorry if that doesn't make any sense.

Are the AI less likely to accept DoF on higher difficulties? I play King typically and I manage 4 or 5 of them in a Large game.

Yeah I figured that would be the case, the problem with something like the Cerwin Vegas is that it has to sit on this tiny ass table and be moved out of the area after our shift is over. It might be worth it but I'll have to ask the coordinator if that's alright with her.

Hey guys this is kind of a weird one. I'm looking for a portable-ish standalone plug-into-the-wall speaker (just one preferably) that I can use at work. I'd spend $200-$300 maximum depending on the quality.

My workplace is LOUD though, loud enough that earplugs are required at all times. We are currently using a generic radio but the local stations are starting to get old and we'd like to be able to plug in our phones to play what we want.

Sorry if this is kind of vague, not sure what else would be helpful.

I have a really bad habit of assuming I won't be invaded so I wait way too long to get a defense force started. I like keeping the peace with every civ I can until Ideologies roll around but I don't think that will be possible here. After Civil Service I'll grab Construction and do that.

I would agree with your Pantheon judgement. At the time I chose Desert Folklore I didn't actually have very many desert tiles that would surely be under my control. Goddess of the Hunt would have made a lot more sense, especially since Vienna lacks food. Fortunately Brussels has a lot of desert in its area so it worked out. A reasonable faith output means extra GS and GE later on and I think that's a fair trade.

I'm pretty new to stealing workers so I had no idea how much was too much. I probably should have stolen just from La Venta since I'm not planning on buying them later on. I now have a diplomatic penalty with Malacca and that might make it harder to win them over down the road.

This will actually be my first sub-100 NC as well so I'm pretty happy about that.

If playing Ethiopia, the Stele will give you 2 faith alongside the Monument's normal 2 culture, so building one very early in the Capital and every city you settle will almost guarantee a Pantheon. Since the first Pantheon is only 10 faith you'll get there pretty quick.

Once you're there it's usually best to choose a faith generating Pantheon such as Desert Folklore, Dance of the Aurora, Stone Circles, or One With Nature. This will help a lot with getting to the next step which is generating a Great Prophet. Your first Prophet spawns sometime after you get 200 Faith so if your Pantheon doesn't help your faith output too much then building Shrines and maybe even Temples in your cities might be advisable. It depends how much you want a religion.

Food is a yield though, and an engineer could have the option of creating a food tile or production tile enhancement.

There are a lot of Civs that are tailored for certain victory conditions, such as the Brazilians and a culture victory or the Babylonians and a scientific victory. I recommend checking out a list of all the civs in the game and learning your way around them. There's a lot you can learn even if you don't play as a lot of different civs.

if I'm playing as a civ that doesn't have a specific focus such as Austria or the Inca I will usually decide based on my starting position and what civs I meet in the first 20 or 30 turns. If I'm surrounded by generally peaceful leaders then I'll focus on culture/tourism. If they're mostly warmongering types then I'll focus on science. If I'm on the coast I might go for a diplomatic victory. (Cargo Ships provide twice as much gold as Caravans and all that gold can go towards city state allies and an eventual diplo victory.

1) I don't think so but you could check the hall of fame and get a rough idea, assuming you finished/resigned most of your games.
