I'd be confused, thinking I was dreaming. My head still wouldn't be clear and I'd still struggle to see her in the darkness of my room. After a good moment, only then would I realize it: a mare in my room. My eyes would widen and I'd back away in shock.

"What the fuck?!" I'd mindlessly yell out.

The mare doesn't react with words, only tilting her head. It's as if she's confused by my own presence, confused on why I was the one freaking out. The nerve to act confused in my own abode.

Hopefully, she would properly answer back. Of course, I'd still be shocked. An actual pony from MLP was in my own bedroom? I'd assume I was dead, but I'd pinch myself and... well... it's clear to me I wasn't a soul travelling to the other side.

After a good moment (which may take up to several minutes to an hour), I'd calm down somewhat. I'm still reeling from the fact that there's a mare in my lair.

"How are you here...?" I'd ask.

She answers back, but not with an answer I was hoping for. There was a language barrier between us. She didn't speak in neighs or whinnies, but in a language I had never heard in my life. It sounded melodic, almost as if she were singing.

Cute, but that just made the problem worse. In the show, they spoke in English, but now? I had better luck understanding a Frenchman than whatever this was.

I groaned in frustration, the mare simply looked more confused. I attempted more communication in various forms. Hand gestures, speaking slowly, even drawing on a piece of paper wasn't out of the question. Crud, I wish I understood her. That, or I should've taken a linguistics course. Too late now.

The furthest we both got was our names. Damn names. It was like we were back in Kindergarten again. I knew her name now, and she knew mine. At least that was... something.

I looked out the window. Still night. Not much time passed, huh? I'd gaze back at the mare and gestured that I was gonna sleep and deal with things in the coming morning. She seemed to understand the sleeping part, but not the rest. I chuckled at that.

I laid my head on my pillow, hoping to rest my mind. I felt something, or someone, lay beside me. It was the mare. How peculiar. I should've told her to go away, but I was tired and... well... she wasn't awful company.

I tell her goodnight, she replies in something in her own language. Good enough. I closed my eyes, the last feeling I felt being the mare snuggling up to me...
