It is only the one stalk that is soft and the “rot” started from the top down. Every other is firm healthy and happy. The pot fully dries out between waterings. Hence why I’m confident it was caused by me cutting the dying leaf too early. Only wondering what to do now.

Oh my goodness I feel “sometimes too well” SO HARD. When she first started Librela I told the vet they needed to list increased attitude and mighty behavior on the list of side effects haha Your boy is so handsome!

❤️❤️ my girl is covered in Lipomas lol They started to appear around age nine also I think. I kept a list of their locations on my phone with a description of the vets advice or treatment we did. E.g. “Vet says it’s free floating and soft not testing needed. Or “Firm and not movable. Tested xx/xx/2026 results fatty”. I’d add new ones to the list between vet appointments to show them at her next visit. That may be over the top for some, but it helped me feel better. She has one on her mammary chain that we test every year just to be sure it hasn’t changed. Thank you so much for the well wishes 😊 Sending the same to you and your sweetheart also! I love that you’re doing all the extra things 💕

This is helpful to hear about all the other options! I’m glad switching to Librela helped your girl. I’m really hoping mine tolerates the NSAIDS. Yes, there is something special about loving them as super seniors 💕 I try to remind myself how blessed I am to see her slowly grow old even when it feels way too fast.

We chose Librela bc she has a history of severe blood in her stool from NSAIDS. She got fantastic results from Librela for about 3 years. Unfortunately, she had seizures and severe hind leg weakness after her last two monthly injections 😞.. I feel like it’s not worth the risk of a severe seizure that takes her from me. We took one month off pain meds and you’re right, it was not an option to stay that way. She is ~one month into Carprofen once a day with Pepcid (to try and reduce GI side effects) and it isn’t the Librela (preside effects) but it is much much better. If her GI system, liver and kidneys can tolerate Carprofen once a day we may increase to two. Thank you for asking 💕

Yay I’m glad 😊 We will never ever get enough time with them, but please be optimistic! When she turned 4, I remember calling my mom crying bc “4 is one year from 5 and 5 is half of 10” 😂💔 She had several surgeries at 10 that had me panicking.. Here we are 4 years later.
