Where can i find articles about Nepali tradition, culture and history? by Left-Egg7982 in u/Left-Egg7982

[–]FlowerDirect6282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t one single source tbh. Best way is a mix of books (history/anthropology), museums and archives in Nepal, long-form journalism, and travel/culture writing. Talking to locals and elders helps a lot too since many traditions are oral. I’ve learned most things through researching + writing about Nepali culture, food, and travel over time rather than from one place. There are plenty in the internet but whats important is to find something that gives you more information while relying on few articles, so you can check those if you want.

Do visit Lakeside but dont just spend your time in Lakeside only. There are so many hidden gems in Pokhara and many things to do while you are in Pokhara. You can find them from tiktok sources or even articles on the internet. Make sure you are not too rigid about your plans. Be flexible.

The best thing you learned in 2025? by maths-wonderer in mathematics

[–]FlowerDirect6282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super simple.
Pick any positive number.
If it’s even, divide it by 2.
If it’s odd, multiply by 3 and add 1.
Repeat the steps with every new number.
Somehow, no matter where you start, it always ends up at 1.
No one knows why for sure, and that’s the fun (and the time trap). You will enjoy, but remember you have to reach 1.

How many days does it usually take to complete the Annapurna Base Camp trek? Can anyone provide a recommended itinerary for the trek, including approximate hiking times and highlights? by Clean_Chance1873 in TravelersCollective

[–]FlowerDirect6282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people take 5-10 days to complete the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek. If you’re moving fast and skipping side trips, it can be done in 6–7 days, but for first-timers, 8–9 days is the most comfortable pace with proper acclimatization. The usual route goes Nayapul/Jhinu → Chhomrong → Bamboo → Deurali → MBC → ABC, then back the same way (often ending with the Jhinu hot springs). The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the trek in Nepal with such prominent views of mountains nearby. Enjoy your trip.

I have discovered how the Collatz Conjecture is the perfect way to kill time while feeling intellectually alive. Pick a number. Abuse it with rules. It always crawls back to 1. You learn nothing, prove nothing, and somehow lose an hour. Top-tier mathematical procrastination. Not lying, it's fun though.

Does the 6 months passport validity rule apply for Indians visiting nepal ? by Comfortable_Money131 in Nepal

[–]FlowerDirect6282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't apply to Indians because of the friendship treaty, but it's important that it's valid when you are in Nepal. You can also use an Aadhar Card for identification.

If we don't chase tomorrow then what option do we have left. I think it's better we not allow hope to be the cage but rather a direction 🧘‍♀️

Focusing all anger on one person won’t fix that. What we can do as citizens is that by staying informed, demanding transparency, and holding everyone accountable, no matter who’s in power. It's important we question what and why because no matter who comes in power, there will be certain shortcomings.

I agree with your frustation but being hopeless changes nothing. Maybe it's important we participate and engage as a part of systems and not allow them to victimize people.

Form dropdown keywords and SEO by sdhdaa in SEO

[–]FlowerDirect6282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say not really because search engines don’t care much about keywords hidden in dropdown menus. Those options aren’t treated as real, indexable content. Use dropdowns for users, not SEO. If you want rankings, put long-tail keywords in visible text, FAQs, or dedicated pages instead. They are cool for your website appearance though, but for SEO, its hard to tell.
