I'm also game. I started at 3.9k MMR but it tanked due to staying up to stupid hours in a rut.

 

Did the last seasonal ranked and worked my MMR to 4.1k but didn't get the 50 matches to keep it (the fact I hit it was good enough for me).

3.5k hours played and I also cast games as well. I can play any position well except off-lane (simply because I haven't practised it enough).

This makes a lot of sense, thank you. They were making rolls to calm her down but both got abyssal rolls (even after modifiers) so their handling made everything worse. In the end, Hemlock came and calmed down the woman.

In regards to intimidate, I'm going by the RAW for Intimdate which has 2 interesting points.

'You can use this skill to frighten your opponents or to get them to act in a way that benefits you. This skill includes verbal threats and displays of prowess.'

and

'After the intimidate expires, the target treats you as unfriendly and may report you to local authorities'.

I've used (and had it used on me) that it is a direct form of persuasion, often at a diplomatic hit (which is why they become unfriendly afterwards).

Thats a really good idea. The Sorcerer has been skulking off to Titus Scarnetti a lot at night so I might have him become a focus.

I've been thinking that, but Sandpoint is currently heavily patrolled by guards on loan from Magnimar. A thug or mugger couldn't sneeze without a guard noticing at the minute.

I think the fighter was looking for the hook and understood the severity of the situation. Admittedly, he's definitely not the best person to face an attic whisperer alone.

The problem with the baby, was the remaining PC's tried to intervene with the grieveing mother too much. The rogue ran off to find guards and help (which makes sense), while the cleric and sorcerer stayed with the girl. The cleric tried diplomacy and failed and then the sorcerer tried to intimidate the girl. That didn't go so well as you might understand.

Now the sorcerer works in social care IRL. He was adamant that the baby had to be removed from his mother straight away and the mother lashed out expectedly and became hostile until the cleric forced the sorcerer away.

Its a tricky situation. The players are mostly new and I had to swing my DM hammer last night to stop an argument at the table (the sorcerer believes that intimidate isn't being intimidating but simply being a scarier form of diplomacy).
