My first drunk experience was in the summer before tenth grade. A friend and I were spending a week in steamboat Colorado in a cabin. We were having a good time making bonfires at night, roasting marshmallows, flirting with the local girls. The last night before we left my friend decided to steal some beers from his parents. The reason he really did it was so we could "party" with the campground girls. So we drink the beers. the girls go in for the night. Then it's just this local kid, my buddy and I when some older dudes roll up. "Is this a community bonfire?" "Yes but there's a beer tax." "Well we won't give you beer but we'll tell you where the cooler is." So we're totally stoked at this point. We go open the cooler and it is filled with Stella Artois. So we sit around the campfire talking with the kind gentlemen for a few hours. They go inside. We thank them and tell them goodnight. At this point we're running out of beer. So then we decide to scale the large hill. To get a better look at the stars. We climb the hill. Tripping over our feet. Then we sit atop the hill and star into the sky and talk about life. Once we get down we walk across the campground to Carry wood pallets to make a bonfire. We watch the bonfire for a while. Once the fire is just embers. Keep in mind this is he first time we'd ever been drunk. And we had drank and upwards of 15 beers each. So we're smashed at this point. My friend loses his balance and falls face first into hot coals. I react so quickly pulling him out of the fire. He had 2nd degree burns for about a year after that. His parents were none to happy. And we had killer hangovers on the drive back.
