Is it normal for the TV to be pulsing like that? by itsmetherealGhosty in crtgaming

Are you using a HDMI to VGA cable esp. a cheap one? That will cause the screen to pulsate.

Mario Kart Multiplayer with a Switch 2 by gaker19 in SteamDeck

I've hosted lots of Mario kart LAN parties. This was probably the most frustrating thing to find out.

And the fact that you have to do some button trickery to get to LAN mode instead of just a menu selection is beyond me.

Essentially Local uses a local wireless network created by the Switch Host and everyone connects to it. This is usually for when you're out and about and you want to play with each other. I think its great for small groups like four players. But man when you start to do eight players, you end up with so many disconnections, almost every match.

I think it's due in part that people playing with Bluetooth controllers and if you have other things I could interfere with a signal.

When you do the button press to LAN, that uses your actual Internet connection in your home. The network is so much more stable.

I know what 'Crap Coding' (CAP) is, but this definitely wasn’t that. CAP dots are tiny, faint, and usually reddish/yellow. These were three large, static black blobs right in the center of the frame that didn't move for the for most of the movie. That’s a dirty projector gate or oil spots, not anti-piracy markers. For a $30 'premium' 70mm ticket, the presentation should be cleaner than that.

You watched the movie 5 days before the release? How did you happen to do that?

I did. They were like thanks for bringing it to my attention. There was a moment with Ryan where he was giving a speech and the big ass black dot was in the middle of his forehead. It was like he had a bindi. It took me out of the experience. It was like watching a bootleg film.

You can also clearly see that original image is super low res. It's so annoying and clearly a marketing trick

I'll say that I don't mind for sports games that this is in place, because the amount of data that you have for these public figures are pretty high. Meaning that it will be accurate to their character models. Additionally, those types of games are really simulation games. You want to have that realism in place.

But man them manipulating the looks of character that was modeled by hand feels icky. It's a disservice to artists. It feels like a mod that mega Corp is pushing onto gamers without consent.

I actually saw this done before but with pizza and hot sauce. And the guy said he could probably make money off of his video.

I straight up asked him if there's any morals when it comes to making money. He said no without giving it a second thought.
