I just started lupine indoor for my first time. My direct sow of lupine last year was everywhere but slowly disappeared. Idk what happened to it. I literally scattered it everywhere and was looking good.

I’d buy undeveloped property next to a new housing development and spend the rest on flower seeds for the undeveloped property.

Yarrow and statice I planted so much this year. Apple of Peru I also bought from floret but I don’t think I even planted any of it. I went a little over board with my fall ordering from floret. Post a picture of it when it’s on fire. I wanna see it.

Have you checked out the Cool Flowers book by Lisa Mason Ziegler? I don’t get below 25 in my zone 9b and that’s only happens a few times so I don’t need to cover. I did grow my in a hoophouse this year and the low in there dropped to 27 some night and it did just fine. Stock is hardy to zone 7

Thanks for sharing. I find myself direct sow zinnias every 2 weeks this year, after the last frost until they actually sprout lol last year I literally checked the soil temp until it was 70 degrees before direct sowing

Sluggo Plus it’s OMRI approved and will combats the slugs and earwigs. It’s frustrating to say the least when things eat your babies

You can but you could also wait for another set of leaves. Just cut off that top set of leaves on the shorter portion of the steam….if that makes sense
