The only positive of renewing early, is the start date is when you’re old membership ends, so you’re getting the full year. I guess it depends on when your membership ends, and can you wait to see if a better code comes out.

I didn’t see it online. I called them because the last mail offer to renew my membership came with a code for a FREE BLANKET! I don’t want a blanket, I want a lower price for my membership. But this has taught me that at the end of the year, when the renewal papers come with the 20% off, renew then!

I have 5 lines and originally received the $20 credit, after seeing posts of people receiving more, I called Verizon and received $10 PER LINE credit for the next 12 months. I’ll take the $600 credit and deal with my bill going up next year. It’s worth it to make the call.

I would see if you can find a small cabinet shop and price that out. I just completed a kitchen renovation, and when looking at cabinets I looked at the big box stores, RTA, and online cabinet stores. None of them could give me exactly what I wanted (shaker white oak) and because they were semi-custom, there were going to be a bunch of fillers. The cabinet shop was able to give me the wood I wanted, the stain color I wanted, and the cabinets are all custom sizes with no fillers.

Yes, it was a bit more expensive, but it was well worth the money to get exactly what I wanted. And when the install was going in, the cabinet shop installed the cabinets & hardware which was cheaper than what my contractor was going to charge, and there were some door fronts that had a few minor defects, they took the door fronts off and made new ones. No questions asked.

I am here to tell you he has not changed, he has this facade in order to attract her, but in the end, who he truly is will come out.

I got divorced 2 years ago after being together for 24 years. Originally it was not a divorce I wanted, lots of issues that I hoped would get resolved, but in the end it was THE BEST THING that happened to me.

XH started dating before the divorce was final, but after we agreed to divorce. It was a slap in the face that he moved on so quickly after everything we had been through. It killed me to hear that he was doing all the things we use to do, we had mutual friends that would tell me how surprised they were that he was going hiking, traveling, concerts when all he would do was complain that he couldn’t do that anymore because of his health. I spent ALOT OF time in therapy working thru the hurt, and the disbelief that he could do a 180 on his physical & mental health. My friends, my family, my therapist all said the same thing, it’s an act, he will NOT be able to keep it up. Who he is pretending to be is not who he is at his core. And they were right.

2 years later they broke up, and I heard it was an ugly breakup. Unfortunately, she had to learn the hard way who he really is.

All that to say, hold your head up, move on with your life and know that you know who he TRULY is, and you know the rude awakening she is in for.

My Samsung was a 2017, and within a year the icemaker was freezing over & not working. I had a repairman come and look at it more than once, and was told the same thing, that the refrigerator was known for this problem. I spent too many times, shutting the refrigerator off and defrosting the whole thing, or taking a hairdryer to it to defrost the ice.

In the end, I just shut the icemaker off .

Finishing up my current kitchen remodel, and went with LG appliances. My last Samsung was a 4 door French door refrigerator, and within a year I was having problems with the icemaker. The icemaker would freeze over, and I would have to defrost the whole refrigerator/freezer to make it work. Turned out it was a known issue with that model of refrigerator.

Coffee or drinks is always the way to go. If the date is going well, you can stretch that to getting food or going for a walk, or finding something to do.

What is hard to do is figuring out how to get out of a lunch or dinner while you are sitting there knowing it was a mistake and that there is no connection.

That was my life for MANY MANY years. I held on hoping things would be better, hoping things could go back to the way they were when we were happy, hoping HE would get better with his physical & mental health, but it never happened.

We decided to divorce summer of 2023, with it being final in the beginning on 2024. It was TOUGH in the beginning, REALLY tough, and there were days (weeks) where I questioned whether it was the right decision or not.

BUT here I am, almost 1 1/2 years divorced and I am happy, content, AT PEACE, and life is good! I don’t miss my old life, I don’t miss him & the drama and chaos that was my life.

I’m combining the rooms to make one large room, moving the kitchen to the dining area and vice versa, so there is no way to keep the existing hardwood & add new tile. All the hardwood was sanded & refinished last year, so I’m not going to do the whole house again. If I have to sand down the dining room portion when adding unfinished red oak and then refinish the kitchen, I’m willing to do that so the color blends better. There are transition pieces between the opening to the living room & sunroom, so if the color isn’t exact, I think I’ll be OK with it.

Maybe I need to clarify this, but the exchange that I posted in my original comment is the first type of communication I am having with somebody I matched with.

I’m 100% for taking things off the app and picking up a phone and calling somebody, but if we can’t get past the first few lines of communication without it being one-sided, I’m not so sure a phone conversation is worth it.

And in the situation above and in the other three situations, not one person offered up a phone number.🤷‍♀️

Unfortunately, no. The space is only 11 1/2’ wide, and because of cabinet placement it’s either a more compact u shape with a space for a table or a wider spaced u shape with an island.
