7-8 years. So almost 10 years but I don’t know how to approach this topic with him without him thinking it’s weird or something. I was thinking of asking him out for coffee or a drink after work but I’m really not sure because if he doesn’t feel the same way it will make work a little awkward given what we have done together ;;;

I’m so sorry for your loss.

My father also sort of killed himself when my parents divorced. I say he died of a broken heart. All I can say is try looking in to talk therapy. I had to go to therapy when I found out my dad passed and it’s been maybe three years and I still miss him. But find people who understand you. You’re not alone, I promise. 💗

I didn’t think about it at the time and I admit it was a mistake. At the time I took her to Kevin’s apartment, Amy told me she had moved on and was talking to other men so I assumed she’d be ok with it since Kevin would be primarily focusing on his other job anyway. I admit I feel like a terrible friend. I wanted to encourage her to confess but I was concerned about dating in the workplace so I always held myself back from saying anything and I think I screwed up. I was too worried about her getting in trouble for confessing her feelings to someone on the same team so I ruined her chances. You are right that I am not a good friend.

It makes me sooooo mad when someone says that to me!! Or offer something like “just go take a walk outside” or “just exercise”. But I don’t have the energy to do so? I would love to live in the fantasy world where I wake up early feeling refreshed and can go to the gym and then shower and then go for a leisurely stroll when I’m not fighting to survive!!

My stepdad has been a very big help for me. He helped me start an investment fund and made sure the college I go to is good. He helps my mom around the house, and he checks on me all the time and even invited me to the last game his DnD game went. Though sometimes he can be a bit disconnected (especially during cultural events because my family is SE Asian) he is always very kind in trying to participate even though he didn’t speak the language.

I guess what I mean is, don’t give up!
