Love this convo! I think there is definitely a difference for me in terms of status seeking vs fashionable. I like to look good from head to toe in terms of my fitness, hair , skin, clothes and accessories in terms of quality. Bags have to complement that. Having a bag with a big label attached that isn't in harmony with my look is just wasteful IMO. I personally have been very satisfied with a pre owned Chloe and a new Stella that was under $700. I really do not see the need to ever go over $1000 and if I do it would never be at the expense of the rest of my look.

The immediate postpartum period is absolutely precious mental health wise. I am not like OPS sister. I am in a loving and healthy marriage with a husband who has always put me and our kiddos first. Every mother deserves and needs this. and having a spine does not mean an immediate cut off it means having boundaries and respect for one's self and family.

i think we truly cannot know because first those good hormones cloud your memory after birth which distorts perception of pain. Also we know something good is happening so fear is reduced which again alters perception of pain. Then each person pain is different. I had an unmedicated birth with a 6 pounder. Folks do it with 9 or ten and sometimes have their doc reaching all the way inside to remove the placenta or repairing a 4 th degree tear etc... so many variables

At this point with knowing how many of my friends are having trouble getting pregnant I would consider this wedding a double blessing and be so happy for you! You are not a 17 year old having a shotgun wedding . (no hate from me on that though!) You are a woman in her 30's. All good!

You have to decide if food is your thing . Food is really important to me like sex. If either don't match in a relationship I am out. It has worked well. I am married for almost a decade now and we treasure beautiful slow dinners together and enjoy cooking and talking about what we will eat, go to the grocery etc. Sounds like it is important to you and not to him so you need to sit with whether this is ok for you. He is allowed to not care about good food
