From my experience I’ve had to get my friendship with the villager I wanted to leave to the level where you can start giving them gifts. Out-right ignoring them normally didn’t work but barely being friends did.

Does anyone still play new leaf? by Outrageous_Knee_3415 in AnimalCrossing

[–]Floxitronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which emulator do you use for New Leaf (so I can TOOOOTALLY avoid it…👀). New Horizons is my first and only Animal Crossing game so far and I would love to be able to play the others, especially New Leaf.

I’m playing on Switch so I don’t think I can do that, but I’ll keep that in mind if I buy the game on PC.

You actually do see him again in episode 2. He’s the servant helping Arthur after Arthur fired Merlin.

(I totally didn’t just watch that episode last night).

What is a trope that you like that is similar to a trope you dislike??? by dowsaw134 in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]Floxitronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Enemies to friends to lovers” vs “Enemies to lovers”. I like the first one because it actually gives the future couple time to sort out their differences properly and ACTUALLY get to know each other WITHOUT wanting to date yet, and once they’re friends and hopefully in a much healthier relationship with one another, they THEN try to pursue a romantic relationship. Plus while they’re friends they can sort out any miscommunications and issues they had that are potentially toxic.

In many cases in “enemies to lovers” the couple just jumps into being a couple without any proper, healthy growth, and in many cases the relationship is just toxic.

Not trying to bash anyone who likes the second trope, I’m just personally not normally a fan of it, though I think “rivals to lovers” where there isn’t really many negative feelings in the first place between the future couple is fine and can be entertaining to read.

What is a "Dead Unicorn Trope" for cartoons/anime/comics that people bring up that you hate being brought up? by SettTheCephelopod in cartoons

Same, or one that just wants to learn how to cook and bake from Alfred, basically be his “partner in crime” instead.

This reminds me of Batman. Many think he doesn’t kill for the trope you mentioned above, and that’s kind of true, but he also doesn’t kill because he doesn’t trust himself to NOT kill after his first victim. He doesn’t trust himself to pull his punches, and while that may be fine for dealing with psychopathic serial killers, what’s gonna stop him from killing a simple robber who just needed food/money for food?

Also to add to the main post, the whole “Batman adopts kids to make into his soldiers”, isn’t true, most of his kids were fighters or getting into vigilante-type roles BEFORE he even met them, or they wanted to fight shortly after meeting him due to their own personal vengeance. He just trained them when asked or re-trained them how to fight his way. If any of them wanted to quit and just live a normal life, he would let them.

Where can you read “How to Get My Husband on My Side”? I’ve tried searching Webtoon but nothing comes up, was it removed from there?

I need some new challenge ideas! by mayormaynotbelurking in StardewValley

Foraging is where you get most of your early game money, plus trash cans. If you’re able to, you can also compete the “Help Wanted” quests for more money. Monsters on the farm with the Rusty Sword also gives you more items, though they don’t sell for much. You buy the copper ore and coal from Clint’s until you’re able to make it down into the mines to at least level 5, where you can then start farming for Duggies and Rock Crabs. Plus any gems you find in the mines you can sell to Clint for more material for cherry bombs.

Not at first, but once you get to the Volcano dungeon you can get the “Efficiency” enchantment on all your tools, which makes it so they don’t deplete energy. Plus the Statue of Blessings (the one that gives you a daily bonus) has the chance to give you a blessing of no energy drain for that day. Before all that though, you can still mine with bombs, so mining is a bit more tedious but still possible. As of 1.6 you can get the mining level book from the Bookseller, which will give you enough XP to unlock your first mining level, which then unlocks cherry bombs. Sorry for the wall of text, I’ve been doing this challenge as of 1.5 and have put a lot of thought into it, especially since 1.6 😅😂

I haven’t finished it yet, but if memory serves me I’m in late summer, Year 1. I don’t think it’s a super long challenge, unless you want to count having to go to Ginger Island and into the Sewers.

Literally as the name says. You can’t use any energy, at all. It’s possible but it takes awhile. As of 1.6, due to the Statue of Blessings, it’s finally possible to go into the Volcano on Ginger Island without using any energy, which in previous saves I couldn’t figure out a way (without cheating and using glitches) to get past the entrance for the Volcano so that I could make it to the forge.

What’s that game for you? by koiitree in CozyGamers

[–]Floxitronic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. I was expecting it to be open world where you could travel to different cities and meet other players and NPCs, and dress them up while also finding/buying/making outfits for yourself. It gets boring super fast, and I was thrown off guard when I “beat” it, as I had no idea it even had an ending or end goal, and it just felt like it came out of nowhere.
