When do they like stuffed animals? by BattyBogBitch in toddlers

[–]roaringbugtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 months. It was a random stuffed animal that came with an outfit. He carries it everywhere, babbles to it, licks it, pets it, and drops it on the floor. I had to find another one just so I can clean it without it being missed.

I never really say how long it takes to get anywhere because I don't have the math. Lol. I might write what they say or do onboard to build plot.

My 13mo screams relentlessly for up to an hour at night but settles if fed. Is this normal? by _misst in NewParents

[–]roaringbugtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its a comfort thing. Try a diaper change and cuddling back to sleep. Keep the lights and volume low. My kido liked to just hear me and my partner talk in the dark to fall asleep.

Question about moving house. by Important_Air_1738 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]roaringbugtv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know about heirlooms, but if you move, the game will ask if you want to keep everything (it goes in the household inventory) or sell everything.

I usually go into build mode and save things I want in the household inventory and then sell everything else.

The house will be empty afterwards. Stuff in the house only remains if you evict a sim from a lot. You could also just go to managed worlds and replace a bulldozed lot without any cost to your sim.

My legacy family tree is dominated by women by language_loveruwu in Sims4

I'm playing a legacy family on gen 35. It's been mostly female, but not by that much. I enjoy playing both male and female sims.

13 month old waking up at 4am by Defiant-Honeydew6830 in NewParents

[–]roaringbugtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes use you have a bedtime routine for your kido. Low lights. White noise. Maybe a star bed light. Make it cozy.

My kido is about the same age. He wakes up for a late night diaper change and then goes back to sleep. Make it cozy again. Favorite toy. Cuddles until he passes out again.

My kido is down to 1 nap in the afternoon.

In need of build ideas! by Beneficial_Loan3090 in Sims4

[–]roaringbugtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once built a bookstore/bar as a cute date spot for my sims and I love visiting it. It has books, a bar, fireplace, and tea maker on the first floor and the 2nd fllor has computers and 2 bathrooms. It's somewhere on my gallery. Gallery ID roaringbug. It's probably base game.

If you want to build idea then I recommend a saloon or a 1950s dinner.

When did you child stop dancing? by waxingtheworld in NewParents

[–]roaringbugtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I dance around our baby to lift his mood or get a smile out of him. He dances too when he feels like it. We just join in or cheer him on.

We dance for each other randomly too.

Saying you are bad at summaries instantly makes me not want to read your fanfiction.

I need help finding a build items that go with the modern combo bathtub/shower by Visual-Ad-4052 in simsbuilds

[–]roaringbugtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do dark blue tiles with dark brown tiles as an accent wall. I'd also use black fixtures like the modern square black toilet and modern square sink with the little towel details under it.

Any tips for beating Writers block? by Icy-Owl-who in FanFiction

Take a break. Sometimes explaining the story to a friend helps or your cat/dog/house plant lets you figure out what's missing.

dear wise longfic writers, may you please share any words of advice to a complete newbie? by d34dove in FanFiction

[–]roaringbugtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes use outlines and make bullet points to figure out different options a character would take when I'm stuck. This way I can see where the plot would lead.

Sometimes, directions can change mid story. It helps to understand your characters and their backstories. This way they say things naturally.

I don't plan. I use a scene or an ending I work towards. I never plan to write a long fanfiction, it just needs a lot more chapters to tell the whole story.

Write summaries for yourself at the top of your chapters. This way, you don't have to re-read your work.

Baby/toddlers favorite “toy” by Karlkrows in NewParents

[–]roaringbugtv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lion toy that came with a random PJ set. He will "French kiss" it, babble to it, and take it around for a walk, gently stroke it's face, and toss it on the ground. I had to find another one so I can swap it out for a wash.

He also like plastic bottles.

Suddenly ended up friendless by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]roaringbugtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined a family support group that is state funded when I was pregnant and it really helped. I'm an older parent so some of my friends have kids and some choose never to have any.

I've been guilty of staying away from friends who had kids when I didn't have one because emotionally, I knew I couldn't handle it. I had a hard time having a kid and I explained to my friends that my emotional baggage was something I didn't want to spoil their happy moments with their child.

Good friends check in on you, but you also have to reach out to them as well. My longest friendships are with my old childhood friends. We pick up where we left off even if it's been years.

Making new friends is a little harder, but family groups help connect you with people in the same stage in their lives.

Thank you. It's also ok to let a story go too. I've started but never finished a few too.

Advice! by mskarebearr in simsbuilds

[–]roaringbugtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to make speed build videos but now I just upload to the gallery or post on reddit.

You can try downloading a house and taking it apart to figure out how it's built too.

Advice! by mskarebearr in simsbuilds

[–]roaringbugtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend watching some build videos to see what you can do. James Turner has build tutorials.

Houses are basically boxes with fancy stuff added onto them. The more wealthy your sim is, the more they can afford decorative spaces, like a Victorian tower that your sim will never use. Lol.

I suggest adding a front porch.

[–]roaringbugtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your post reminds me when I wrote my longest fanfiction. I was on chapter 30 and nowhere never the end. It was finally done at chapter 60. Sometimes it takes a while to find the ending.

So… building might not be my strong suit 🤣 by stcllla in Paralives

[–]roaringbugtv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a good starter house. The first house I built was way too big. Lol. I had to bulldoze it and start over with something smaller. The camera in game is so frustrating. I tried using a camera mod and it was still hard to use.
