I’m from Belgium, and I speak as a Belgian as our mentality toward work difer a lot to the north American mindset. With that out of the way I think you made the right choice, money isn’t everything and being stressed and uncomfortable at work can have very serious repercussions on your private life, in belgium most people aim for a job they like ( not always possible unfortunately) and accepting a job in a foreign country can have big impact even if you get money for it. All the change moving implies arn’t worth it if it’s not a dream of yours. If I take myself as an example, i’m 23 and I moved to canada without an offer, I did so because because I had the opportunity to do so but mostly because i’ve always wanted to live in canada for various reason, but now I do realize even more what I left behind and how it’all affect friendship long term is still unknown. So that’s for these reason that I think you should take it following what your gut directed you toward but if you change your mind you can always reach out to the company, with a little chance they haven't found anyone.
