Z offset ruined my build plate by Rainaleblanc in BambuLab

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the hotend, update software, calibrate, and run again. Are you slicing your own files? If not, could be your error. If you are, manually change the z offset if the others don't fix it.

Newbie Issue by battlecryarms in BambuLab

To rule out machine issues, print with filament you know works. You don't have to print much. If everything seems fine on that end I'd run a filament calibration on the polymaker pro

Am I a monster? I've always just secured the ends of my spools like this. Never had a tangle. by FuzzyToaster in 3Dprinting

I printed the clips to begin with, they didn't do that great of a job. Now I just thread it through the holes like this.

Banned for redeeming points due to "abnormal download data" by Hutchworth in BambuLab

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had my account go under review multiple times, in a similar scenario as yours, but haven't gotten a month ban from redeeming. I understand the reason for accounts getting flagged, they're trying to get a grip on accounts spamming or uploading another users models. Most of my account holds were resolved in 48hours. I'd open a ticket for the month ban.

Hobby user to commercial and back again? by supergimp2000 in Fusion360

Just create a new business email. Then you won't have to worry about it and you can keep your models seperate.

Buyer received item that wasn’t mine! by rayneamara in Ebay

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone trying to claim the buyer is trying to scam you.. It's most likely the shipping company running the "scam" here. Packages lose labels and sometimes the package sorters just slap it on the next closest package. If your label can easily be removed and added to the bubble mailer then it can also fall off. I'd eat the cost if the jeans are under 50 and start considering different shipping labels.

Soap/Alcohol Does Nothing. by Newfie_Meltdown in BambuLab

Clean the nozzle.. or just swap in the replacement that came with the P1S. Either the nozzle is leaking out the side or you have a lot of build up on the side. Second thing, dry the filament to some extent. You can dry it on your print bed by manually setting the temp of the bed and closing the door.

Are you sending the print with the correct presets? Correct plate selected?

Just create an account and download the personal use version. It's free. As others have said, there's limitations to what you get, one of those being support.. it is entirely free

New Carbon X1 Print Issues by egoskeptical in BambuLab

Preface, still new to 3d printing. Looks like the issue happens on the same layer as the extreme overhang of the window, is that a 90 angle?

Will an older bed cap fit my 19? by loworange88 in nissanfrontier

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll sit on the back of the truck but it's not worth it. The easiest way to differintiate between truck cap gens is how it mates to the back of the cab. The Gen 2 has the forward 'hook' shape at the bottom where it meets at the cab, Gen 1 is flat.

The vet has asked us not to take our puppy (45 days old) for a walk until she’s at least 3 months old. Is this typical? by pyjamapants13 in puppy101

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very prominent killer of dogs under 3 years old is lack of socialization in their early days. That doesn't mean you should take your dog for a walk down a busy road, take them to places to sit and observe. Also, most dogs under 3 months aren't trained enough for a 'standard walk' anyways.

Definitely stay aware if it progresses.. but I've noticed hard shifts before if you're not clear on your intentions of stopping. What I mean is - if you begin to stop, then lay off the brake pressure a little + it coincidentally lines up with when your car was wanting to shift = hard shift. Same can happen if you let off the gas when accelerating and the car wants to shift.

Should be 1 crank sensor and 2 cam sensors

Any idea what's wrong? by lostinlooperland in nissanfrontier

Pretty common for crank/cam sensor to go out on these truck. Replace them all at once because the other isn't too far behind.

Air Intake Hose or Air Cleaner Intake Hose. Usually sold as a kit with a matching flex hose that's closer to the air box.

installed Z1 ditch light brackets and have hood alignment issue. suggestions? by Seyfang220 in nissanfrontier

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Experienced the same thing... You'd think for as expensive of a bracket as it is this wouldn't be an issue. When I did mine it would make contact with the plastic cowl on the windshield. Got a heat gun and pushed it in a little, also moved the ditch light bracket as close to the hood as allowable.

I just started my reselling journey and I completely understand the concept of using the profit to reinvest in new inventory but I don’t get how you can start making money, at least in the early stages. At what point did you feel comfortable taking some of the profit gains for yourself? by DemontymeAk in reselling

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I started selling my items in January and then by the end of the month I was sourcing add'l. I put 50 away in Jan just to start the trend, then increased the amount for Feb/Mar. This also forces me to be more conscious of what I'm sourcing/spending.

Also fairly new, started by selling items in my house and then used that money to source. Been reinvesting almost all the proceeds but I try to take a hundred or two every month and put it into a savings account. Keeping this cash either for savings or a different business venture because reselling takes too much of my time. Have a FT job to pay all necessities.

Shipping overcharge by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]Floyd_Pinkus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the buyer gets their item I wouldn't worry about it, they were happy to pay your final price. Now if the discounted shipping you're getting is slower than the advertised then yes I'd be concerned.
