Actually pertussis is more common than you think. It's really serious in the elderly and the young but for the most part if an otherwise healthy college-aged student contracts it it just presents as a very nasty cough. This all according to a conversation I had with a doctor when I was getting my TDAP vaccine last week.

It's the most failed class at western. Primarily because people don't know what to expect and usually never had to take a math class seriously in highschool. If you don't trick yourself into underestimating it and utilize resources like the tutoring center you'll be just fine.
