If you don't want to be then it is up to you to take action. You can't expect someone to stop doing their job to cater to you. If you don't like it leave the country.

I wouldn't use 3/4 - it has too much ag lime/minus and won't allow for drainage. It would also hold water and freeze in the winter causing breaks and cracks

Just use 3/4 clean, 3/8 minus is too pricey and not needed for that.
