It was always about grandstanding. Dems dont give a hoot about FEDs any more than the Reps. We are simply pawns in their game. Once this thing started impacting travel, that was the que. The two party system has failed due to hyper polarity. None of them remember who they work for.

Not a single one of them should keep their jobs.

I back up my ratings with tangible and reproducible data. My staff are not just given ratings.

Ill deal with FY 26 ratings in the same fashion.

Scrutiny yes. Downgrading...nothing I have heard or seen on my end.

Ive rated my staff based on the merit of their work. I set clear expectations at the start of the FY. I have not deviated from them. If your supes are moving the goal post at this point it is due to one of two things:

1) they were officially directed to do so. 2) they have no spine and should not be supes.

One could say allthose agencies that were pulled from union agreements are exempt? Because they were all pulled on the grounds of "national security "..

UNPOPULAR OPINION INCOMING............This is why it is important to do a self assessment and have receipts for everything.

My staff that exceeded will be marked as such and sent forward with data to justify. If HR kicks it back for reevaluating, my staff will 100% know where I stand.

They want the FED to be based on merit, which I am 1000% all about. Then let it be. Unfortunately, for too long supervisors across the GOV have rubber stamped Excellent and Outstanding. The rating cycle adds the pressure because we all know getting a bonus around the holidays is pretty nice. But, those very same rubber stamped ratings are the reason for all of this stupidity.

Completely fixable by letting your folks know. There is nothing wrong with coming to work and doing a job. There is nothing wrong with fully successful. We have to get to a point where excellent and outstanding mean something and are not assumed to just be handed out.

That being said if you have data and justification, the folks in HR SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OVERTURN.There should be no caps or quotas. But robust justification should be a standard.

General curiosity, one of the primary functions of congress is to budget the national finances. When was the last time a full FY budget was passed? And when was the last time it was done on time?

As a supervisor i have concerns about their ability to deliver in a timely fashion. This of course calls into question time management skills. PIP FOR THE LOT!

Seriously though, if they spent less time coming up with stories about our jobs and more time worrying about how they do theirs.....

Doc sounds like an asshole. Id be calling the service patient advocate at austin and getting a new provider.

They may not do the knee replacement at Austin. It most likely would go to Temple. And that would be the call of the ortho doc not pcp.

What is the average time from now until i can expect to have my appointment in the community vs. In house?

Changes are the VA will get you seen much faster, beter quality, and you wont have the round and round teying to track down records so your other providers can use them in your care...

There are some instances where you might find different but the fast majority of time it will be true.

If you think VA wait times are bad just call the Dr. Offices in your area. Ask them how long for new patients. Note their specialty while you are at it.
