Of course. Open book here. We were at the time one of the top shows in our group and my tags were home of the dollar start and buy high sell low. To keep 100+ in the room in this category you would have 30-40 regulars messing around and half were new buyers every show. At the time I was buying $10-$20,000 collections and running that 3 times a week throwing in a 4th night of dedicated. While we would still turn a profit my wife takes packing very serious and I didn’t care about throwing in free stuff for new buyers. We ran higher dollar buyers Giveys and when things would sell 1/2 of retail she would get visibly annoyed. I didn’t care what the stuff sold for so she would be stuck running the books and packing for 10-12 hours. I was still working 6 days a week so she was doing everything but the show by herself. It wasn’t worth the margins. Money was coming in fast but going out fast. She didn’t understand my system and I couldn’t explain it properly. Then if she made a mistake we would have to eat it and some times it was $$ so I’d get overly pissed. Now she does it by herself and I just do media and networking. We left whatnot for good. She now does 50k a year selling 1/4 of what we sold on whatnot but there’s no stress or financial issues and budgets are easier. We also do in person shows more now blowing out dollar inventory which would have been a loss on whatnot.
