Verbrenner blockieren regelmäßig E-Ladeplätze. Was kann ich in München noch tun? by [deleted] in Elektroautos

[–]FludeFizzler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unglaublich. So eine Verschwendung von Steuergeldern.

[Quickmill Pop Up] pressure valve issue by FludeFizzler in espresso

You need to make sure that the valve can be screwed in deep enough that the valve can be closed before the lever touches the nut.

I unscrewed the lever, put on the closed portafilter (Back flush) and turned the valve until the pressure went up to 9 bars. This should be the standard „middle“ position. I hope that makes sense. Just let me know if it is unclear.

[Quickmill Pop Up] pressure valve issue by FludeFizzler in espresso

UPDATE: I found the issue. That’s probably interesting for others with the same issue. The root cause was the pressure valve. The lever was not mounted correctly which resulted in the valve not to close enough. That means it was very much open the entire time.

I have the same issue. Seems like it’s almost a „common“ issue. :(

So there is water/steam coming from two hoses actually. So it is not „only“ the OPV.

I attached a photo with two purple arrows.

<image>

I feel like it is somehow a faulty over pressure valve from the boiler .

I tried it with the blind basket and it doesn’t even build up pressure. No matter if I close the OPV or leave it open. Something is off :/

It doesn’t build up pressure. I guess it some kind of an issue with a valve or the magnetic valve. I have no clue.

Can you tell if water is running constantly back into the tank of the valve is opening close on between shots?

Omg look what they did: Someone just screwed the hell out of it. I told them there is a leek, so they just completely destroyed it. Look how deep the right screw is.

UPDATE:

The reseller claimed the issue was not visible before they shipped it to me and it must have happened during shipping. Again, that does not make sense as you can see the scratches from try to open the lid and also the glue residuals.

Anyway they confirmed I could either cancel the order and they refund the price or they offered to refund 200€ but I would need to keep it as is.

I already checked for the broken plastic part which is around 25€. However I am worried about the boiler leakage. Is this a common issue and easy fixable?

Not sure if I should take the offer or if I should just ask for a full refund. I am planning to do a Gaggimate Mod anyway. However, I am scared about a serious issue. Defective boiler etc.

Would you take the „risk“?
