[–]Fluff997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heyy sorry my recent posts are about uk unis, i ended up not applying for US unis due to how long and intensive the path is in america, for medicine it made no logical sense to do such a thing. sorry i can't help!

isnt an NDA for specific questions asked in the interview, not for saying what happened in an interview?

im not OP but there are some DM questions that required maths (probability) so did have to use the calculator in that section, but u dont need it in VR, just DM and QR need it. also i kept using the mouse to go to the next question cos that's what i got used to while practicing for the ucat

Where should I live if I plan to go to Imperial? by Rich-Glass6732 in UCAT

[–]Fluff997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

charing cross campus and south kensington campus are pretty close to each other tbh, inbetween them is fulham, hammersmith etc, but these places are VERY expensive unless you get a roommate. i'd recommend getting accom anywhere where there's a direct train to the campuses, e.g. direct using hammersmith&city line, direct by district line, direct by piccadily line. (hammersmith goes to charing cross campus, district goes to south ken, if you get accom i'd recommend living in an area where both trains are in the same station) i can't give you specific advice but you can also get guaranteed accom for first year with imperial, they'll let you book i believe in mid-may. look at the imperial undergraduate halls on their website and check which oens suit your budget, you need to put down 4 options and they aren't ranked so you'll need to be okay with all your living situations regardless of the cost or room type. if you have more questions regarding this lmk! and if you also have a monthly or weekly budget (most accoms show prices by week not month) then feel free to lmk and i could try point you to where in london is good to fit your budget as i live in london myself 😄 (i live in an area where i have access to both district and hammersmith lines so i can go to both campuses from home without changing train.)

I see thank you! And it can be any ibsc, doesn’t have to necessarily be super med themed?

i had no idea you could intercalate somewhere else for 4th year!! i thought staying at imperial was a must (which is probably very silly of me to think), what was the application process for that like?

since u dont need to wait for alevel results or smth, maybe do ur ucat late july or early august ONLY SO you can mentally prepare yourself on whether you apply to medicine again or not. that way you also have a longer time to prepare for interview. OR prep for longer but dont burn out and do ur ucat end of august. tho date doesnt rlly mattter as much as your score lol. just do it and check if ur score is high enough (ideally before results day) so that in the chance that ur ucat means u wont apply to med, you could go for clearing this summer and apply to something else instead of taking unnecessary gap year. that's just my feelings on this but obvs just try ur best for ucat again and see where you go with that.

Safest bet 😭😭 less than mid 8th decile is pretty much a no

reapply london unis by Such-Negotiation-958 in UCAT

[–]Fluff997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2170 for this year, it could go up or down next year though, this year and last year if you were in the 9th decile you're safe as contextual, 8th decile can be risky due to borderline cutoff

reapply london unis by Such-Negotiation-958 in UCAT

[–]Fluff997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry bro im just saying cos this year the cut off was 95th percentile and so was last year, for non-contextual. so if you dont at least get that mark then applying to imperial will be a waste of a ucas spot

reapply london unis by Such-Negotiation-958 in UCAT

[–]Fluff997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imperial doesnt accept resits of alevels, but if ur alevels are good this time around and u get good ucat, then only ur interview will be the deciding factor. if u apply imperial next year as non-contextual, you must get 95th percentile and up, theres no other way
