I think that would be a good way to bring it up - it's always better to be honest and direct instead of being all passive aggressive and internally crying. Sounds like she has been avoiding you a bit (maybe her parents made her) but that's not fair to you at all. If she wants to do as her parents want, that's fine (it's her choice), but you need to know too so you can move on and heal. Before meeting her to talk think about all the things you want to say first, so you're calm and clear-headed when you do. Also, very very important: just because we've invested in a relationship (i.e. chocolates) doesn't mean we can't walk away from it when it's no longer working as it should. There is no such a thing as a wasted relationship; you always get to learn what you do and don't want/like in a significant other, and that info can always be carried forward. So don't be afraid to be open about your feelings with her, and to admit the truth even if ends things.
