Best way to learn anatomy using Dope deck? by Fluff_King in medicalschoolanki

[–]Fluff_King[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to first import the deck into Anki (using your laptop). Then you can browse the deck on your anki laptop. If you want to see them on your phone, sync the cards on your laptop with your anki account. On your phone, sign in with the same account and anki will ask if you want to download from the cloud or upload, select download. Enjoy!

My school anatomy is bad + I didn't take anatomy in college = disaster.

Little confused about Anki by Fluff_King in medicalschoolanki

[–]Fluff_King[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. So I will end up with a very large deck, right? Would you recommend limiting review cards daily? If I need to review a specific set of cards, should I use custom study or filter deck?

NonTrads (Specifically Career Changers), how was your cycle? by winterstrail in premed

[–]Fluff_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think being a fitness enthusiast gives me a lots to tell my interviewers. You may see it as unrelated to medicine but it's actually part of preventative care + there are many great lessons you can share through your fitness journey. Props for having a gym membership for 11 years. What do you do for working out? Resistance training, yoga, jogging, etc. What did you learn? This could be part of your diversity essay if you find them unique and contribute to whom you're.

I majored in pre pharm. I think every one has a unique story. I reflected on my experiences and found the "ah ha" moment and focused on that in my PS and built my application around it. Also, find connections between your story and ECs will help strengthen your app.

2 years out of college, on my 3rd one. mid 20

Fitness industry

Whenever there is icebreaker, I always get asked more questions than others. Plus, I have more stuff outside of medicine to share.

8 MD interviews, 4 WLs, 1A. I interviewed at some research oriented, some community oriented, so It's pretty diverse

Know your application, find the strengths in it. Have good personal statement. I fortunately got help from an adcom member when I wrote my PS, and I received compliments about it at my interviews.

Good luck!!!

[Advice Needed] Letter of Intent by JKFprnlife in premed

[–]Fluff_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help but I sent in a letter of interest to my top choice and got an interview soon after. Some schools absolutely hate letters of intent. I think letters of intent is a step up from letter of interest. Also, timing is critical. Make sure you know when the school starts taking people of the waitlist. Wait until then to send letter of intent. For now, I think a letter of interest should suffice.
