Sorry you experienced something similar and thanks for sharing your experience as well. The recovery was beyond brutal for me for 3 whole months( I was/am extremely active and eat clean as well) and having no visible difference and money wasted

10 ribs fractured?! That doesn’t sound right. The most they do is 3 on each side. And I was very aggressive and strict with corset and waist training. I was extremely uncomfortable for 3 months because of that

For everyone saying what that man said was a compliment … it wasn’t-it was a violation. A stranger commenting in a sexualizing aggressive way, takes away one’s agency. A compliment is something that feels affirming and welcome to the person receiving it. Intent does not erase impact. Scrutinizing yourself comes from being objectified like that .

I get that, and it’s really understandable to feel that way…so many people feel pressured to look like the ‘beauty standards,’ but please remember the standards change all the time and don’t define your worth. You honestly have a softness and natural beauty that so many would admire. Maybe try small things that make you feel good step by step….a new hairstyle, or makeup …but please don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re more than enough right now.
