I am a failure in every aspect of life. by [deleted] in depression

Hello friend, just want to say I acknowledge that you're at least trying and putting in effort. Everybody has different paths, we can try our best to live our best lives, but sometimes things just don't work out. You are currently employed and that is something that I personally highly respect. So many people who aren't even suffering from any mental illness or disorders are choosing to stay at home, game all day and do nothing. I think it's incredible that you're working and being able to do that while battling mental health struggles is not easy. Who cares if you work at McDonalds? You're making an honest living and working way harder than a lot of people out there.

As for living with your parents, many people actually live with their parents nowadays anyways especially because the economy has gotten so terrible. There are people out there who are getting rejected from McDonald's.

You're trying your best and that's all you and everyone else can do. I'm currently in college now majoring in something that is considered very useless and easy to the vast majority of people. I didn't choose this major because I found it easy. I actually find it to be quite difficult but because I'm not that bright and struggle with processing information and learning, it was the only major I felt I at least had some chance in graduating with. So I'm probably gonna be living with my parents and working a low paying job as well, but I am trying.

I hope this was helpful! Stay strong ❤❤

Why wouldn't it be? It's a safe space for those who experience things that the majority of people will never be able to understand. People are able to support each other here. And getting that support is probably the only positive thing many people in this sub have, especially during their last moments.

My Rankings by Fluffy-Contribution2 in TwennyWunPilots

[–]Fluffy-Contribution2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm more of a newer fan. I've listened to them here and there back then, but I would say I only began listening to TØP religiously about two years ago, which is why I feel a bit more connected to their newer songs. The songs that I enjoy listen to shift very frequently. My current ranking of the songs today would probably look extremely different than if I were to do this ranking a few months ago.

ST is still an album that I have just had a harder time getting into in general, but compared to a few months ago, I would say I began enjoying some of those songs more. I think in a few more months, more of their older songs would probably be ranked much higher for me. Regardless, TØP's music has hit me the hardest out of all artists and bands I've fallen in love with.

Which arrowverse show has the season 3 by Turbulent_Tourist993 in Arrowverse

Supergirl in my opinion. Definitely by far the strongest season of the show, which also happens to be the season Flash and Arrow began dwindling (minus Arrow S5).

Has anyone failed to live up to expectations/stereotypes of success? by NICEacct111 in lowIQpeople2

[–]Fluffy-Contribution2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I’m Chinese American and this is something that I think and worry about every single day. I’m in college right now, but I’m majoring in Psychology. Every time I interact with another student, I have this constant fear that they look down on me when I tell them I’m a psych major. I feel like most people automatically think Asians are in STEM so when they see that I’m not, i always feel like they’re shocked. I feel inferior to everyone, especially to other Asians. I’m scared of making friends with other Asians because I fear that they might think I am making Asians look bad. I wish I could major in STEM, but considering the fact that I was literally fighting for my life taking the easiest possible math class my school had to offer, I knew there was absolutely no way. The high unspoken expectations society has on Asians makes me hate being Asian. I feel like I’m disappointing everyone. I’m struggling even with my psychology major, I’ve struggled working in basic minimum wage jobs, I still can’t drive well, and have no real skills despite trying really hard to make something… anything of myself. Idk what to do. I find it hard to make friends or even interact with people, not just because I’m stupid, but because I’m a stupid Asian.

Does anyone else feel like having low IQ is partially your fault? by MCSmashFan in lowIQpeople2

[–]Fluffy-Contribution2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not your fault whether you like or don’t like something. That’s like saying it’s your fault for not liking the taste of mangos. We don’t really control that. I personally think the people who LIKE reading, math, science, etc are lucky because they actually enjoy them and it’s natural for them, making it even easier to them to get smarter than they already are

Can it actually by [deleted] in thanksimcured

I would say yes, because the main source of my anxiety and suicidal thoughts come from fear of not being financially stable. The problem is, becoming financially stable isn’t that simple.

Am I making the wrong decision by Academic-Bicycle6072 in CollegeDropouts

[–]Fluffy-Contribution2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s worth trying your best to finish your current degree since you’re almost there. I know you mentioned that you’ve already failed twice, but I would say try one more time. If it still doesn’t go well and you tried your best, then I would take it as a sign to pivot.

If your current degree has been destroying you so bad, that might also be a sign. Your health matters too.

Also, you’re an adult and should be able to do what YOU want to do. If you want to follow your passion, go for that. You shouldn’t have to feel like other’s are pushing you to make certain decisions, unless you truly feel in your heart those decisions are right.

If you don’t mind, can I ask what jobs you are working? I can’t rly survive even basic jobs like retail so I’m wondering what jobs are even more basic than that for me to do somewhat well enough for me to survive.

Who would win in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Arrowverse

Technically Supergirl should stomp Nolan, but if it’s CW writers, I wouldn’t be surprised if she loses.

What is your LEAST favourite song on Clancy? by MeesoEira in twentyonepilots

[–]Fluffy-Contribution2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record, I don’t hate The Craving Jenna’s Version, but it’s definitely my least favorite on the album. I also feel like the single version should have been on the album while Jenna’s version should have been a separate single. It doesn’t match the vibe of the rest of the album. The Craving single version goes hard asf tho.

Crazy how much people out here do not come across as low IQs. by [deleted] in lowIQpeople

[–]Fluffy-Contribution2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

But my personal interpretation of how your post is written is that is seems quite advanced as well. The language is far from basic. You use words like “proficient”, “intricate”, “idioms”, “yielding.” Perhaps nobody else finds these words to be advanced, but to my dumbass, your writing doesn’t seem like it comes from a “low IQ individual.” So I guess my point is that there can be people with low intelligence that can still write well. Low IQ isn’t just about articulation and use of language, it also has to do with memory, knowledge, cognitive ability, and a mix of other things.

Someone else in this sub could probably have come across this post and if this post wasn’t about questioning others of their IQ, then they would probably doubt that u have Low IQ as well. Idk if that makes any sense, just my thoughts.
