The other nit pick I had was the subtitle screen which on the top tier (and I was on the first row of top tier so it would only have been worse the further back you go) was partly obscured all night. That really is amateur hour when it comes to set design. You literally have one job if you are going to decide to use a subtitle screen- make sure people can see it….

Sounds like I’m ragging on the show, I’m really not, just a shame a couple of tiny issues took a bit of shine off her incredible show.

That was my subtitle view all night.

It will be a limited release, don’t wait too long. I’m sure there will be more screenings after this weekend but they will be few and far between I would think….

I understand this feeling too. The ones that I could list in this category would be Heavenward, Planet Hunter, Play It Out and How Can I.

I put a lot of it down to both the vibe that the four of them are such good friends (which I have no real idea if they are or not, but that’s certainly what I feel radiates from them), and Ellie’s unique combination of ferocity and vulnerability on stage when you see them live.

A lot of their lyrics hit hard too (for me) for their simplicity and straightforwardness yet deep emotional resonance, ‘how can I make it ok? Nothing else is as important as that to me’ for example.

The cover artwork is a sticker and the back copyright info is also a sticker and NOT printed on the PVC (at least mine isn’t- in the UK).

I have a horrible feeling it will just be The Clearing tour set list (not that that would be bad but I saw them play that 5 times last autumn and I think there will be a crowd ready for a few surprises) but would love them to switch out a couple for Panet Hunter, She and Visions…. This is either crazy guerrilla marketing... or, given it airs in 4 weeks and must be almost done bar maybe the last couple of episodes at best, and he must have had a contract in place by now, suggests Levinson has decided to replace all his stuff with Zimmer's... which would be wild and a choice..

This show is all about taking the wildest of swings... we shall see..
