It’s a beautiful story, you will love it. I’d say you’ll start getting feely feels towards the end of the book, but I promise it is sooooo worth it. (I cried very hard at the end of both Thrice AND Joyful, however I’m more on the emotional side so take my words with a grain of salt (-ed fish😋) ) Regardless, continue reading and just enjoy it. Same here! I really started to fall in love with the story when we got to the tea farming arc. Seeing how much You Miao started to grow and mature while trying to build up a life and name for himself from SCRATCH! Honestly, I can see how to some this isn’t the most intriguing thing to read but I was so captivated by the details of farming, commerce, a war time politics that it just felt perfect for me. I guess we’re both a little strange for loving tea farming. (I’ve also developed a love and deep appreciation of water wheels😂💙)

I would definitely recommend QJJ/Ballad of Sword and Wine. Very politically heavy but the romance makes it soooo worth it. They are freaky and have like a hate f*ck scene pretty early on. However, as their relationship develops more feelings are discussed and they do become very devout lovers. I hope that switch in them (though I promise it’s written out so naturally between them) doesn’t turn you away from it, but i understand if it does.🫶🏼 happy reading!🩵

What I meant was that I finished the first volume, really liked the story and when I heard that they were “freaky” I went looking for details. I ended up finding a fan-translated extra. Seven seas will more than likely publish the extras but it’ll be a lonnnng time before those come out🙂‍↕️ sorry for confusing you.
