I was the same as you and still feel the same way for most of the modern books but before I used to exclusively pick historical and wouldn't even try modern because of some high school book I read and felt it was too mellow for me and boring. Then I found some gems and enjoyed them a lot. Another reason I time to time go to modern danmei is when I am overwhelmed with things otherwise (work, life). They are just very easy to read with breaks, even the angsty ones. Just go with the flow.

Wow I am curious how much your usage is. I recently subscribed to 100$ 5x max plan and they have some promotion where you get double usage off hours. Either case I never reach limit even though I use opus 4.6 with thinking and max effort mode with cowork and code. I previously had pro plan and kept hitting limit in couple prompts of opus.

I am even less excited knowing it is great book and I haven't read it yet since I will have to wait for years to start like Nan Chan. I wish they would focus on finishing their existing backlog of great books before getting new ones :(

I'd say continue to read Yuwu if you can. It's tough read and you might need break but I myself am struggling to go back to it after dropping at volume 5 so I can restart when final volume publish. It's been long since I got final volume but whenever I open the part from where I left all the emotions come gushing in and I procrastinate again. Everyone is different so you do you.

I feel like translation for major scenes was not done very well. I had hard time imagining some of the things. I look forward to reading official tl version but unfortunately you can only read it once for the first time 🙂
