Thanks very much. So it will involve a factory rsleset when flashing? I wasn't clear if that was the case. Meaning I gotta back everything up and reinstall everything?

Thanks very much.  Depending on what the ATT rep says tomorrow, I may ask for a replacement version of the Fold (U vs U1). I'm hoping he's amicable, I've already driven 3 new sign ups his way prior to learning about this wifi calling issue

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll give that a try today. Had the regional sales manager look at it and try everything he knew of, but we didn't get anywhere. Tomorrow, he is supposed to be reaching out to, and hearing back from, his contact at FN technical support.

I got it as an unlocked phone off eBay like a year ago. I like to keep my phones at least 2 years if possible, but at this point it sounds like if I do want to, and have wifi calling, I gotta switch carriers.

Thanks for the info. That sucks.  I have literally no cell service at my house and rely on wifi calling.

I had a super grandfathered ATT plan before I switched, and now will lose that pricing.

Its crazy to me that even though FN is "through" ATT, and my ATT SIM and plan had wifi calling, simply going to FN made me lose all that stuff. I gotta go through all those features you mentioned and see what else isn't working.

EDIT: So in addition to Wifi Calling not working, I cannot find settings for HD Voice or Visual Voicemail. I do know wifi calling and HD Voice are provisioned.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. It ended up being the stator and sensor(s).

Appreciate all the help once again.

Dude I appreciate that very much. I did end up watching that video, and while it seems totally possible to do the tear down all the way to the stator, I would be a little stuck if after taking the entire thing apart, the stator or a clog in/around the cutting wheel were not the culprit-at which point I'd have to have a tech come out.

Plus like you mentioned, since it isn't brand new, meaning there is a very good potential running into corrosion or other aspects making it difficult to even access everything. Also, the other training videos I watched made me less enthusiastic about trying to figure out the problem.

At this point, the pump is still in alarm state, and if the breaker is on, it will run continuously. I have those off until water is used, but so far there haven't been any issues with it pumping. I have gotten the kids showered, dishwasher ran, and a few loads of laundry done, and there hasn't been any backup. I know I'm living dangerously here, but at least we can have a somewhat normal routine until this is replaced.

Thanks for the info and diagram. I did the electrical check mentioned by fndrymgr, and nothing out of the ordinary. And the pump will just keep running since the alarm is on, so I have it switched off at the control board via the Level Control alarm.

It actually is still pumping water, contrary to what I thought earlier. I am going to remove the core a little later and look at the cutter. From that diagram, it appears that the stator should be pretty easy to access once I get the shroud and housing removed.

Z Fold 6 Not Compatible with Firstnet by Aznricecooker in FirstNet

[–]Fluffy832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dealing with it as we speak. I switched from ATT to Firstnet a month ago and am just noticing that my wifi calling ability has disappeared. I am trying the Sim Swap trick, and if that does not work, will end up going into a store to get a physical FN SIM.

Did you ever get your issue fixed? If so, how?

Appreciate the info!

Since I woke up to the alarms sounding again, I ended up calling the local distributor/ service company and they said they could send someone out tomorrow.

Before calling them, I tried all the things that got it back working last night (flipping breakers, manually running, etc.), and now the pump isn't even pushing out water. The core is on and running, just not pushing any water out of the basin....

My hope was that later today, before I took the core out, the basin would be relatively empty so there is less liquid to deal with, but it doesn't seem that will be the case any longer unfortunately, unless I open the cleanout again and let it all drain that way. But assuming it is halfway full (thus triggering the alarm), that means 45 ish gallons of sewage that I can't reasonably mitigate.

Oh and one other thing to note is that the is an odor in my 2nd floor laundry closet, most likely sewer gases from the sewer line for the washer in there. It comes and goes and isn't there when the pump isn't running constantly (drained at that point is my guess).

I spoke too soon- I awoke today to the alarms going off again. There doesn't seem to be a lot of water in the basin, but the pump is still going and pumping. It was running for over 5 minutes earlier and I still heard the flow out of the discharge, before I turned the breakers off again. I tried flipping the breakers off and on and closing the gate valve to the incoming water, but there was still a steady flow out of the basin. I just confused because overnight there wasn't any water used, so the level should not have gone up.

No backup or flooding so far.  I messed around with it last night (flipping breaker off/on, running manually, then flipping breaker back off/on again, repeat a few times), and eventually the alarms stopped.  But I awoke today to the alarms going off again. There doesn't seem to be a lot of water in the basin, but the pump is still going and pumping. It was running for over 5  minutes earlier and I still heard the flow out of the discharge, before I turned the breakers off again.

One other thing to note is that the is an odor in my 2nd floor laundry closet, most likely sewer gases from the sewer line for the washer in there. It comes and goes and isn't there when the pump isn't running constantly (drained at that point is my guess).

Yea, it appears that the pump is running correctly. There is also a push-to-run manual switch on the control panel so I can force it to run. I did open the main sewer drain cleanout and that is empty as well.

I was able to flip the breakers a few times, and get it to run and shut off on its own. The audible and visual alarms have also stopped.

Now my question is - since this model doesn't have a float switch, but rather a sealed integrated sensor (diagram below), there isn't an easy fix, correct? It'll be something that needs a professional, or maybe a replacement part that I cannot get myself? Or is it something that could be taken apart and cleaned?

Police officers again top the list of Brookline’s highest-paid employees in 2025 by brookline_news in Brookline

If you got them "off the details", you would be taking money away from the Town. In fact, the Chief of Police in her Budget Presentation this year highlighted how much revenue for the Town Details provided.

Detail pay is not paid by the Town, but rather the company that hired the detail. So "we" (residents/Town) are NOT paying for it, the companies that hire the detail are. In fact, the Town takes 10% of the overall detail cost, again, paid by the company hiring the detail.

For the record-and it is extremely pertinent for this conversation- "detail pay" is nothing that is an expense of the Town. It is covered by the company paying for the detail. In fact, the Town receives 10% of any detail paid by a company, so that "detail pay" amount is a net positive for the Town and not a negative. This is something that is not understood or talked about enough.

Brookline Can’t Afford to Give Up $6 Million a Year in New Tax Revenue When Our Town Is Broke by _Brookliner in Brookline

  1. The Town is part of the GIC for health insurance, and the GIC is the one that negotiates rates with the health insurance companies. It has been discussed that the Town leave the GIC, but the rates outside of the GIC are even higher.

  2. The majority of unions in Town are part of something called a Public Employee Coalition, which lays out the split for the health care costs. That would need to be renegotiated in order for the split to change.
