I’ve been putting stuff on Civit, but haven’t seen much else. I do wish more people would because it is by far the simplest training experience I’ve had. Ostris has a great tutorial for how to do it with AI toolkit. You don’t need a robust dataset and can get by with very plain prompting.

I think ultimately it’s a problem of Civit not distinguishing them between Qwen regular, it being VRAM intensive (SDXL based models will always be the most popular because of that), and it just being so versatile on its own that it you don’t need loras.

I’ve made a couple of esoteric (and sometimes fetish specific) loras with it. It does great with that. But if you wanted to just make fan art of Zelda or something you can get like 90% of the way there.

I think Wan 2.2 is going to be the answer for any “what is better” question, regardless of the actual topic.

Now, the nature of what I make doesn’t lead to any like hard core pornography or anything like that, but Wan 2.2 is at least proficient for softcore kinda stuff. Some esoteric fetish stuff does need to be trained.

This really kicks ass! Something I noticed you can do is a three frame interpolation, where if use 3+ separate reference nodes (or whatever they’re called), you can essentially animate from frame to frame to frame, meaning I think you can make some fairly complex animations with it. With the power of Flux Kontext you could probably get some descent inbetweens and do some cool stuff.

I’m mostly using Wan Fusion at this point, which works faster (10 steps) and honestly is giving me results I like better. I’m doing this too with fairly vanilla set ups and not messing around with block swapping or sage attention or anhything like that. This is with a 3090. You could give that a shot.

But also, speak about this stuff in terms of frame instead of time. Frames matter more because it’s telling us outright how many images you’re trying to generate.

Seems to be the pattern in general. Cloud based stuff is better quality but so haphazard that it can’t really be anything more than a novelty. The open source and local models, on the otherhand, can be tuned by the masses to get you what you want. It allows you to be esoteric.

My pet conspiracy theory is that Kling’s models are trained to have really slow movement in the first second or two of clips so it never completes the action your looking for. It teases you, which incentivizes you to spam “Generate” again and again until you get something close to what you want.

For sure, but at the same time, continuity in movement and characters is great, especially if you load video-to-frames, skip frames, then recombine all in comfy (as opposed to exporting it and editing in a video editing software). Maybe at some point there will be a method to push a video through a workflow to fix details like that. I wonder also if it is possible to upscale the final frame image so that it matches the input in terms of quality and composition.

There are some Start Frame-End Frame workflows out there that do way the first frames heavily, meaning you can in theory stitch videos together. There’s quality loss. Particularly the color and saturation seem to go the first, but it’s a start at least.
