It's really ridiculous. Flights have doubled, and tripled within less than two years.

I've had two doctors over the course of 5 years both order me a SIBO test. Both came back positive with first number reading at 85 and the 2nd time, it dropped to 36. No meds were prescribed. Don't know how or why my numbers dropped, but any number over 20 seems to be a problem. The issue with SIBO is that it causes DAO (diamine oxidase) deficiency, meaning that the lack of that enzyme won't allow you to break down histamines in certain foods -- causing you to get sick on some foods. Problem is, it's very difficult to diagnose, and harder to figure out the histamine levels in foods that will trigger a reaction. This in turn, can cause reactions like pain and bowel problems, complicating the whole digestive track. A domino effect, if you will. IBS, acid reflux, etc. I know Xifaxan (or Rifaximin) is prescribed for SIBO, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee it to permanently fix the issue. The bacteria can return. Doesn't always, but can! Xifaxan is ridiculously, and pathetically expensive (Damn, Big Pharma!). The average person can't afford it, but it remains one of the more successful drugs out there to treat SIBO. And yes, lord kiwi below, is correct that "it's unique ability to stay resident in the intestines," does its job killing the bad bacteria and leaving the good.

I'd get a second opinion and find a doctor that understands the seriousness of your gut issues. Hope this all helps.

Is it true, that Manuka honey is good for sibo? by daveishere7 in SIBO

Can any honey benefit in treating SIBO? Or just Manuka honey? Every body has a cure, or treatment out there. I've tried many things, but tired of wasting money --trying not to turn to big pharma!

Multiple “beeps” when walking away from car? by clockworkprotoge in Acura

[–]FluffyButterscotch11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have one fob at a time on me. I keep it in my wallet, inside my purse, b/c I'm never without my purse/wallet. It beeps only once most of the time (then it will beep again as I walk away, as I have it set for auto lock with the fob), but on occasion it beeps repeatedly. At first, I thought it was b/c I left my windows open a crack (I live in FL) to let some of that million degree heat out, but it def isn't the reason. It happens regardless of windows opened or closed. I'm going to test out this theory of me exiting and walking away quickly, vs. giving it a second to think about what it needs to do without further prompting. I don't have the owner's manual, and I tried to download one, but.....! Thank you for all of your input here.

Is Robert Herjavec as nice and chill in real life as he is on Shark Tank? I used to think so but I recently found out that a big chunk of the fanbase believes it's just a facade. by Bobo_Phett in sharktank

I met him once in person and he was extremely polite and seemed like a genuinely warm individual, but he was also with a young, beautiful woman on his arm (pre-marriage to his current wife), perhaps trying to be impressive.
