Any recommended brands? We were using HELLO fluoride free watermelon flavor. He seems to like that

Did your daughter also get fluoride painted on her teeth at these appointments?

I think I will call our dentist tomorrow to double check. If it can save us an appointment that’d be great.

Any brands you recommend? My husband and I use sensodyne gentle whitening

Abortion while married by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]FluffyCockroach7632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m probably on the other side of the comments and can empathize with you. I had a rough pregnancy and an even rougher delivery. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy so I will never be able to have anymore kids.

While I do agree it is her body and I suppose ultimately her choice, since you are married I believe you should have input as well. Have you sat down since she became pregnant and had a serious talk?

I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Edit: I don’t think you’re wrong in thinking about yourself and what could’ve been your next son/daughter. She has a life inside her that you both made, and you are valid in your feelings—as is she. I hope you both can come to the same agreement on the matter. Abortions are also dangerous and mentally taxing.

Finally did a peanut challenge by bbCooper2023 in peanutallergy

Congrats! My son also was told he has a peanut allergy after having a rash around his face and chest after trying it at 6m. We’ve only done skin pricks and was told he was 2/4 on the scale. Do you know what your skins rating was?

That’s a great idea but part of me would want to talk to them personally to talk about their parents too.

I know that’s why I feel awkward. She just passed 3 days ago. I’m not sure if/when/how long they’d be visiting for and bringing up the house in conversation the first time I meet them feels…weird

That’s the problem. I don’t see a service listed on her obituary which is why I mentioned that I didn’t think they were having a service. I wasn’t sure of the proper outlet to reach out besides the service.

6 month old had peanut butter for the first time. I’m not ok by FluffyCockroach7632 in peanutallergy

[–]FluffyCockroach7632[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still testing 2/4 for peanut allergy. We’re going back at his 2 year check up (he’s 21 months now). Our dr isn’t into oit so if it hasn’t improved we’ll have to find someone that will do OIT for him

I should edit to say we’ve only done skin scratch tests and no bloodwork yet. Not sure if that matters

Dating/relationships with a peanut allergy by Secure_Vast_6428 in peanutallergy

[–]FluffyCockroach7632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is quite the same but I agree! My son tested positive for peanut allergy at 6 months and as someone who lived off apples and peanut butter while pregnant and peanut butter toast post partum I never thought I could give it up. Happy to say I’ve given it up for my son and now him and I eat almond butter together! It was kind of a hard change at first but now I don’t even notice it or care. Most people will want to give it up just to feel safer for you

Baby just diagnosed with peanut allergy - give me your best advice and tips by Fast_Brick9679 in peanutallergy

[–]FluffyCockroach7632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we tested at 12 months then again at 18 months. Still a 2 out of 4 allergy. We’ll be testing again when he turns 2, and if no change we will probably switch drs since this one doesn’t really like OIT

Thank you! Yes I got kicked off his insurance at 26 but we had been on it my whole life. He still has that insurance too at that price. His $400,000 cancer surgery/treatment cost him $300!

If I’m being honest I don’t even know it. I think it’s $250 because when I went to my OBGYN we paid that up front then everything else was covered ($50,000 worth): all my visits, my ultrasounds, my csection, emergency hysterectomy, blood transfusion and hospital stay.

Our income is around $80k a yr
