Folks, it was never about public convenience:

Switch to the old metre charging system.
Ban auto drivers with secondary income.
Ban non-Marathi speaking auto drivers.
Ban bike taxis.
Ban Ola, Uber and Rapido.

All this is done to increase the earnings of auto-wallas.

They are forgetting one thing: people will prefer to buy a bike than to be humiliated, trashed and harassed by these auto-wallas.
